Ichiro 3000 hits

Ichiro stand up triple for 3000 hits despite starting MLB career at age 27. Batting .317 at age 42 this year. Incredible. 8 straight 200+ hit seasons to start his career including all time record 262.

I remember when the debate was if you'd have to count his Japanese stats to make a HOF argument for him, seems incredibly silly now.

Just the 4th player to ever have 10 gold gloves and 3000 hits. To think he did that starting at 27 is unreal.

Never mind that Ichiro DOES speak English (and has earned the respect of many Latin players for his fluency in Spanish, for what it's worth). This is a mind-numbingly stupid thing to tweet as a media member.
