I posted in a thread bout Lamur

What sucks is I saw it on TV as it happened and NOTHING was called...I was like what the heck.....people around me did not see it till I pointed it out on replay....Sorry if I ruined your day
Well I told myself about a billion times I wouln't make myself watch it... so it really was my stupid self. I loved the catch by Jake Williams though.

The really sad thing about watching some of those replays is that AA had no business in throwing some of the passes where he did. Jake was in double coverage and they had good position. The pass before that to Marquis was another floater that shouldve been intercepted.

The 4th down conversion pass to Marquis looked like a very well placed ball from my vantage point in the stadium. Over the corner and in front of the safety, right where it needed to be.

After watching the replay atleast 10 times, I don' thtink Lamur used his lineman for levreidge at all. His hand was on his lineman after he reached the full height of his jump. I can't believe you guys are still complaining about this. Lamur is 6'4, with a long wingspan and a good vertical. His block was legal, even though you guys won't like to admit it.

Also illegal on a PAT or FG.

As a general rule you should probably know a rule before you make a judgment on it. As stated in the above post, you describe an illegal action and call it legal. C'mon guy.

As for the Clone fans here. Let it go. One play does not make a game. In a close loss like that there are dozens of plays that could have been made to win the game. If the D could've held them on the long TD. Or if the O could've kept the drive going when we were up 17-10 and moving. Lots of things that could've gone another way but didn't. It sucks because it was such an obvious one, but it was far from the only deciding play in the game. Time to move on and get ready for the Jayhawks.

Seneca's TD (and he did score a TD) would have tied the game, assuming we made the PAT.

Also, the PAT saturday would have tied the game vs KSU.

It's hard to say we would have won either game givin our OT record.

Point Is - let it go, I still think we can (6) wins.

Actually, Mac said he would've went for 2 and had the play ready...As for OT, we have won one game against a bad Toledo team so I wasn't confident that we pull that one off...

I think the thing that really hurt ISU is that Mahoney is just so consistent, always kicking the extra point right down the middle, so KSU knew exactly were to line up and jump for the block. It would have probably been smart to set up for the kick a couple yards farther back.

Ya, I'm just glad he made the others 100% of the time.

i wish I wouldn't have watched that video either. I'm not one to blame things on refs but it is evident his hand was on his teammates shoulder. Oh well, nothing we can do about it now.

I also heard if you are on defense you can't jump and try to block the kick... Give it up......... As a clone fan...... it was a great block. PERIOD!

Do you really think this didn't help him? Two scenarios:
1. Jump up, gravity pulls you back down.
2. Jump up, grab on to something to keep you up, let go and come back down.

He would have been on his way down when the ball made it to him had he not used his lineman for assistance. Just think, if basketball players could just jump up and hang from the rim they could block all the shots they want.

It won't change the outcome, but it is pretty clear that the KSU player was using his left hand for leverage. It should have been a penalty, but that's life.

His hand was on the lineman as he was on his way down. How is that illegal? He didn't use his hand for leverage.

You have yourself really confused. Last time you posted, his hand was on the lineman at the top of his jump. Now, he was on the way down? Pick one and stick with it. As for your answer, a hand on his lineman will give him leverage, even if he is barely pressing on him. Either it helped him get higher, or helped him stay in the air longer. Either way, it's illegal. Either one of your situations fits into the 2nd option there. So unless you want to change the story again, it was an illegal play. Now, as I said in my first post, can we let this go?
