I never call out the refs

If I'm JP, I'm sending this game film to the conference to have the refs called out.... although, there may not BE a conference by the time they get the game film to them

The good news is that we are making progress as a team when there is such an imbalance of penalties and we still win.

No crap. We get a personal foul as the guy was still falling down...they hit steel AFTER he was well on the ground (and it looked pretty intentional) and get NOTHING!!!

That one really stuck out to me as well, the officiating was incredibly one sided

i think these officials were trying to get in good with the Big East so they have somewhere to go when the Big 12 ends

Iowa State -10 penalties for 86 yards
UConn - 1 penalitie for 5 yards

Do the officials think if they screw the Big 12, that if the Big 12 folds they can move to the Big East.

That's what it seemed like; their audition to move to the Big East. No problem, we're 3-0!

How in the hell did their QB not get called for intentional grounding near the end of the game when I think pat neal had him sacked and he practically spiked the ball. It nearly went backwards for a fumble too.

I could not believe that!!

My thoughts exactly. I never complain, because you expect the calls to go against you on the road. But our first pass interference call was iffy (probably uncatchable), then you have the "late hit" as the guy was falling forward to the ground, and all topped off by the overturned call to give UConn the TD when there was video evidence that the call on the field was correct.

After that, I knew we were in for a long night from the officials, and I was right. The only break we got was that Money easily could have been flagged for taunting on his first TD that would have been the first example of a TD taken off the board for such a penalty.

Big 12 refs. The lead official has been to Ames countless times and has called a fair game. Tonight the refs put up more of a fight than the Huskies.

There were also 2 UConn passes in the 4th qtr that were not even close to an eligible receiver that should have been flagged.

Did anybody else see the ref reach for his pocket when Money put the ball up before going in the end zone? Luckily Money tucked the ball away again and ran in quickly...then the ref put his hands up.

Money was lucky not to have that first touchdown taken away. That was close to a taunt. Overall though money has really come through the last two games.
