I cringe every time...

I cringed when they didn't call an over the back foul when they guy climbed Niang's back on the rebound of the first of the three shots.

Hallice doesn't miss in warmups. Just needs to get confidence in a game against real competition. He'll hit a few big shots for us yet this year.

Sounds a lot like what people have said about Matt Thomas the past couple of years. While hitting a few boosts confidence, I believe Hallice can feed as much of his defensive energy. I believe Matt used to have his head down if he missed a few shots, then it seems he got confidence from rebounding and playing better defense. What standsout more to me now is how aggressive he is taking the ball to the hole.

The guy that was smiling the most when that last shot went in-- Klay Edwards.

Man! This 1997 reference deserves way more thumbs up. As I remember it, this was an over-matched Cyclone team that found a way to beat a typical Bob Thuggins team. Looking back at those mid-1990's teams makes me appreciate the talent level we have today all the more.

We have more weapons now and are better offensively...but those teams with Dedric and Kelvin were much, much, much tougher defensively. They didn't pick and choose when they were going to play defense, they did it with consistency.

This year's team is every bit as talented (if not more), but they rank dead last in the Big 12 in fg% defense...unless that improves, this team will not meet their own goals...so it's tough for me to give them an edge over Dedric and Kelvin's group.
