I know you're wanting respect from the media, but I just don't buy much into "media"
That's just me though.
How is this. There is no need for talking heads to talk badly about the ISU fans. When we are support our team through bad times.
There's a reason they do that...They talk bad about us just to **** us off and hear us ***** about it.
If we wouldn't ***** about how they talk bad about us they would get no satisfaction from doing it.
They do it because they have been able to do it for years and no one says anything to them about it. Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself. I dont have 100,000 watts of radio so this how I chose to stand up I guess. They joke say those things to get a laugh out of their fan base and they dont care what we think.

Come on! Stop with that rationale. We should want non-graduates to be fans of ours! If you are a fan of a pro team, must you pay taxes in that city?
I know plenty of people who are Cy fans and not graduates. I know a ton of Cy grads who are iowa fans. What's that say!?
I bet there is a big majority of posters on here who aren't graduates of ISU. Big deal? No.
Well from what I have seen through the first two games, Daryl CLark and Tate Forcier will be the best they face. I don't believe Pryor is in the top 2 qbs in the Big Ten. He just does not throw the ball that well. He has all of the physical tools in the world, he just doesn't always make great throws and decisions. Judging off of yesterday, Tate Forcier looks like the real deal. He doesn't get rattled and he just plain makes plays.
Yep, I had to work yesterday, and WHO didn't come in very well, kept fading in and out.
I understand the purpose of this thread but one thing that bothers me about a thread like this and alot of the other threads I've read since the Hawkeyes win is the fact that we got blown out and taken to the woodshed bottomline and still don't want to admit it or give the other team any credit. Don't take me the wrong way as I am as much to blame as anyone. I looked for every reason not to give the Hawkeyes credit. I always do.....I can't stand it. However the reality is we are not a good football team. I had my doubts after watching us give up 400 yards of offense to North Dakota. Instead of actually paying attention to what the underlying issues were with the Clones....I got wrapped up in the excitement about the win and the fact that Iowa struggled against UNI and that Bulaga was out that I put myself in a position to overlook how bad we really could be and honestly thought we would have a chance against the Hawks. My bad for putting myself in that position.
We are not that good and that reality hopefully will set in soon for the team and maybe we can salvage some wins. At this point, I'm not so sure we can go on the road and beat Kent State with what I saw out of us this weekend.
In regards to Miller and the rest of the "Hawk" crew, I take it with a grain of salt. Miller has never hid his love for the Hawks so I expect it. I wouldn't expect any of our announcers or media folks to give much love to the Hawkeyes....matter of fact, I'm pretty sure they don't. We don't like it other....it's a Rivalry, remember?

Read the rest of my posts on the game. I have given Iowa all the credit. As for the comments made, Jon did explain himself to me and I understand where he was coming from and I respect that and him for clearing the air..

Longhorn-speaking of white trash-I sat next to a middle aged cyclone that was ****** at the world before the game even started -every call that went against the clones was the wrong call and any attempt at conversation was replied to with looks of hared and disgust that a Hawk fan would even try to talk to a superior cyclone fan. He did manage to say 'Well you know you're in Jack Trice stadium don't you! Just made me realize the difference between fan bases and I've talked to many fans that had the same experience. So go blow about white trash to your own fans-and good luck the rest of the season -you're going to need it.:no:

I was forced into listening to the iowa radio station pre-game. I was surprised by the way Dolph had lots of good things to say about ISU players! When he was doing the starting lineups- he complimented almost every one of them... +1 for Dolph
