I would cheer for Iowa to beat Nebbie as well - but I would have to watch the game in my basement, with the shades drawn and the volume low.....

I still cannot decide on Iowa vs. Auburn, Notre Dame, or Missou. And I still hold a grudge against Boisie State and that rediculous blue field!

If they were playing a Chizik lead Auburn, I'd probably cheer for them, if it meant we could actually watch Gene cry. That goes for any team Chizik leads in the future.

Otherwise, it would take a situation which would benefit ISU for me to straight up root for them.

I know this may sound wierd, but I don't really care if they win or lose. If they win, I'm happy for my hawkeye friends (I do know some good hawkeye people), and if they lose, I laugh at the low life hawks in their meltdown mode.

This is pretty close to how I feel. I just dread the inevitable constant chatter about how awesome Iowa will be next year. That's the single reason I want them to lose. I don't really get any enjoyment from the meltdown (I get a little), it's more that I just want to be spared the off season from hell.

I only root against one team and thats Nebby. I have grown out of rooting against Iowa. There isn't any point. I root against Chizik but not Auburn.

Other than cancer, I never rooted for Coach Fry.
Capt.Kirk poured beer after a coaching clinic for a couple hours.
I like him a lot better but I still couldn't root for Iowa.
Hopefully we'll never have to choose between Iowa and "the Chiz".

I've gotten to the point where I'm for our conference first. After that I'm mostly indifferent. I used to really hate the Hawks, but that faded. I don't get any satisfaction in watching them lose, unless it's to us.

I know that it will be a cold day in... um... it will be a really cold day before I visit Kinnick as a paying member of the crowd. There's a ton of animosity towards the NU around here, but I've been treated much better on my trips to Memorial than my trips to Kinnick.
