Has anyone been around the new Mercedes Bluetec diesels? I have been looking at them a little tonight and they seem like they are a pretty incredible engine.

Depends on how its engineered. 2100 RPM is a whole lot if you've got a bunch of rotating mass. An F1 engine is engineered to run at up to 20k RPM for a reason. and micro gas turbines run at 100,000 rpm for a reason.
Different horses for different courses. The more rotational mass, the lower the RPM. The bigger the engine, the slower you turn it.
You bring back two of them. One for you and one for me......DEAL?
You mean like this?

I want one, too. They are slick as snot.
Right on target. Diesel is somewhat better than it used to be, but back when we had that extreme cold in January there were many, many problems with diesel vehicles.
Personally though, I never liked Diesel...

Damn it that's exactly what I want a 4 door ranger with a diesel in it.
Is that thing 4x4 too?
