A Baylor loss gives us a guaranteed 3 seed of we win one game out of two. Now we are in danger of a 4 seed unless we win out.
Plenty of comments earlier in the thread on why. A WVU win tonight and an ISU win tomorrow guarantees ISU no worse than 3 seed in KC. We may be in 2nd tonight but regardless if we lose in Morgantown we drop to 4 seed in KC.
Ok thanks guys. I guess I hadn't really thought it through enough. We'll just have to beat WVU then (and I'll be at the game!)

Yep we can hold out hope for a Texas win over Baylor but I wouldn't want to bet anything on that happening. Really wanted to know we could do no worse than 3 seed in KC with a win tomorrow and let WVU game not have a ton to play for.

Has Huggins team this year ever played two subpar games back-to-back? Don't think so, but I guess there's always hope. We better take care of business tomorrow, first.
I wish I could believe it when I write, Baylor @ texas isn't a sure thing, but I can't.
It's too bad our initial WVU pee down our leg game wasn't at Morgantown, because I think we'd drill them in Hilton right now, but we had our chances to make this a non-issue (vs. WVU, @ Baylor, @ Texas). I think we'll beat OSU and then I think vs. WVUwe'll get hammered a million times going to the hoop and generally get screwed multiple times that we'll be right there with 5 minutes left in the game. I'm assuming they won't bank in 3 triples in a row this time too.
Just ran the scenarios over on mred's site to figure out how early I need to leave next Thursday morning. Tomorrow's game isn't going to matter at all. It's all about the game at WVU and Baylor @ Texas.

Two weeks ago, we'd have all been thrilled by that worst case result. This team doesn't look like they're waiting to see if other teams will help them place well. Next up, OSU. Take care of business and send the seniors out right!
I think its highly likely we play Oklahoma State in the 4-5 game on Thursday. I would put odds at about 90%.
I'd normally be with you. But this season who knows. I could see us all bummed after we win tomorrow but lose to WVU only to have us all watch Texas play out of their asses on senior day and beat Baylor and we get the 3 seed
True, I could see all that happening also, you never really know with these Big 12 games. That being said, I was more looking at who would be favored in each game and what those results would be in everything held true to form.
At the end of the day it's all kind of funny we are dissecting other games so much when we are the hottest team right now and it's in our hands. We win our games and we are 2 seed. Period. Doesn't matter what any other game results are.
And I am nervous about both games but both are very winnable. Yes WVU beat us good at home but that was a totally different Cyclone team and they banked in four threes. We can absolutely win there. I just wanted to know going in to that game that we could be no worse than the 3 seed. Hence wanting Baylor to lose tonight.
What I don't understand is why the 2 losses to WV would put us in 4th. If we all have an equal record they should look at W's against #1 first, then #2, and so on. Which would put us in 3rd with a W tomorrow and L Friday. Screw the bogus system they have here.
