Hudson to transfer

I would assume that also; not based on any knowledge, but just from the fact that as seniors, T and Hahn will not play in the spring. The spring schedule is maybe more accurately described as a scrimmage season. A similar situation would be football; I believe a spring enrollee is allowed to participate in any spring scrimmages (spring game), and not just practice.
 
I guess if anyone knew the scoop, we'd be hearing it. But as soon as I heard about Hudson's departure, I thought about Malloy's departure in what appeared like a pretty sudden, last minute thing. Seems like they could be linked - like Malloy saw things on the team that she did not like, and maybe was already wavering and whatever was going on with the team put her over the edge.

FIFY. She did have the option to stay, and chose to leave - and was released from her scholarship.

While this hurts in the short term from a depth perspective, likely will be a good thing in the long run.
 
Volleytalk says she's transferring to LBSU. While historically a stronger program than ISU, (Misty May ring a bell?) that doesn't really sound like jumping to better grounds, just closer to home.
 
We get few recruits from California for obvious reasons. The few we have had in WBB and VB have transferred back to CA. Harris in WBB now Hudson. Weather, culture, distance are parts of the reason. I can not think of a star from CA in either of those sports.

I did look up to see how Harris is doing at UC Davis. She is averaging just under 30 minutes again, and the second leading scorer at 11.7. She's hitting .413 of her shots and .396 from behind the arc. Also .810 (17 of 21) from the free throw line.

Here's the scoop. Iowa winters suck and not having family around sucks more.
