Hp Touchpad Firesale

i bought mine from onsale are these guys legit or am i gonna be disappointed?

They are a legitimate company, you can view the Amazon feedback which is 97% with several thousands of items sold. They are a part of a larger company so it is not a scam. The only worry is that if they kept up with their inventory and did not over-sell the item, in which case they will have to cancel orders.

Seeing as there were occasions when they went out of stock, then back in stock, it would appear that they were trying to keep up; so hopefully we don't end up with cancellations.

i mean what is the worst case scenario here they just say we cancel the order or do you think we wont even get it?

i ordered from onsale and than i went into open orders on amazon and it said shipping soon

Yes, I have that on my orders as well. It isn't a shipping confirmation, you will get another email, hopefully tomorrow, that says your item has been shipped and contains a tracking number. That is when you can celebrate knowing that your item is on its' way...

I'm loving that people are paying around $230-250 for these on eBay right now.

First off, nice impulse buy for not even knowing what you are getting... I think there are a lot of people that did that this weekend.

The WebOS will not be updated by HP, but it could still be kept up by a third party if they purchase rights (not sure if that will happen).

You will still be able to download apps and the operating system (WebOS) is still fully functional, when you get your TouchPad be sure to run the updates to get the latest version of the WebOS, it will help it run a lot better if it has the latest update(s). It is still fully functional and just fine to use, consider it like buying a version of Windows but is no longer supported... Still works just fine!

The Android root or port is basically hoping to take this tablet, which is now very cheap and powerful for that price, and converting it from the WebOS to an Android OS. It would make it a very powerful Android tablet and a very very cheap price. This would likely mean you would have to do some modifying of the operating system, but I believe the goal will be for this to be a one-click port so that it would not have to be very intensive if you so choose.

This would be me. I was just cruising around CF today when I saw the link. I figure my son will get $100 worth of entertainment out of it for sure. I'm really hoping for the Android root to happen.
