Hp Touchpad Firesale

They were available on Best Buy's website this morning as of 7am with free shipping. It is kind of a risk buying an unsupported machine but maybe HP will have second thoughts now that they probably sold over a million of them this weekend.

I didn't really get myself anything thing when I turned 30 a couple weeks ago so this will be the perfect birthday present for myself. Plus it will hold me off from buying a android one till they come down in price.

coming from someone who has an iPad, android tablet, and a touchpad, the touchpad has the best user interface & operating system, IMO. Im pretty bummed HP is bailing on WebOS so soon.

the apps do fall terribly short though, but that is because HP (and Palm before) have done such a terrible job of marketing their stuff and creating a loyal following.

Don't get too excited, guys. An HP Rep on Twitter has been saying that the availability of them on the small business shop has been a glitch and that they've been out-of-stock the entire time.

We ordered 2 32gb models from the Small Business area, I noticed that they have been updating the stock. Early this morning it said that both were available, then around 10 it said only 32gb's were available and now it says they're sold out. I'm thinking that the updates are correct. Looks like the credit card was already charged, so I hope we got lucky.

HP has about 1.2 mil units left, best place is to order from their website when they get more in. I was told it would be Monday or Tuesday.
where did you hear they have that many left? This is encouraging. I would love to grab a couple of these for web browsing and such

Will all retail stores be lowering the price eventually?
I think the message is to buy today before they are gone. The CEO should be fired. Obviously, he undervalued his product if they sold out in a day. And he paid way too much for that new company that they bought Friday. And to think they can be viable if they sell the PC business, that is just laughable. HP is on the road to irrelevancy. Dell is looking better.

Sad thing is, Ive always gone with HP laptops after an epic Dell failure a few years ago, Hopefully they can turn things around, Shows how much demand there is for an AFFORDABLE, good tablet.

Well, my fellow clones, I bought one of those sold by the vendor "onsale" at 459 cst, so we shall see if that vendor still has stock- I got a 32, though... only 5 bucks shipping too- hopefully it goes through.

Here's my question- remember when amazon messed up with the $100 ps3s and people went nuts only to find out it was a glitch? Well this isnt like that because it is well known that this is a nation-wide drop...BUT... when you buy from a vendor and get past the order confirm and get an email confirm, does that mean you are golden? Or will the vendor send you an email saying something like they were out of stock at the time.

I bet I am golden, but you never know.

ok im really close to buying one of these what are some of the negatives about buying one. will i still be able to get apps?
