How Utes breakdown ISU

The preview in the original post is actually pretty accurate. I'm actually impressed the guy got that much accurate info about us by watching one game. I haven't seen an ISU fan break down Utah with as much depth so I don't get the outrage by some.

He correctly identified Robinson and Franklin as our biggest weapons. He also pretty accurately described our defense. Guys... we can't get ****** about fans of a #10 team predicting an 11 point win, it's not like some Iowa fans predicting 50 point blowouts when they're unranked a year after we beat them.

The misleading thing about last weak's game is AA running the, he isn't lightning fast, but in every other game he looks like an above average running qb that can easily pick up 50 yards a game with power running. On the flip his passing looked better than his average game.

That's really the only thing I took any issue with in his prediction.

Oh, I agree it was a good assessment.

I REALLY hope they keep thinking Arnaud isn't a running threat.

He's not a speed threat, that's for sure. He's a very strong runner though and he has a knack for hitting gaps at just the right time. He's just not easy to bring down.

If his shoulder's bothering him they won't let him run anyway, though.

Kind of off topic, but I could only listen to the game last weekend. They kept saying we were lining up in the pistol. Have we ever run the pistol formation before? Was it a "true" pistol formation like Nevada runs where the back is lined up directly behind the quarterback or was it just shotgun formation?

It was a true pistol formation. I saw it a few times against TT, as well as in the UNI game.

Yep. IF Arnaud is healthy, he runs like Tebow. I mean almost exactly like Tebow. Not going to run by DBs, but he's a physical runner and he's lethal running the zone read. He can run over most LBs. If he's not healthy (like last week) his running ability is negated. Basically to say that he's no running threat depends on the shoulder injury.
