How much goodwill does Fred have?

in light of the conversation in the NYT article thread I wanted to get a feel for how much goodwill Coach Hoiberg had.

How many crappy (GMac-esque) seasons would Fred have to have to make you lose faith in him as our coach?

There's some pretty lofty expectations for next year already.

I doubt there will ever be the level of anger people felt towards McDermott though.

I'd think if Fred struggled at the level McDermott, he would step down on his own accord. He actually cares about ISU basketball, and won't continue to drive it down for personal gain.

I voted for the last one because I think I see no reason to ask this now. I don't think we ever get to the point where we even need to ask this question IMO.

Some of us dont want to get too ahead of ourselves about the basketball program based off 13-2 record against crap shoot teams.

Fred's style of play isn't the paint drying type of play we have seen the past 4 years.

I usually support any coach long enough to get their players in.

The northern illinois game vaguely reminded me of GMAC basketball.. Granted that is the first game I've been to one this year.

One of our problems is that Fred is our 6th coach since 1994. We need to be patient with Fred. I think he is the right person for the job and we certainly need to support him for several years before we start turning on him.
