I kind of like going into this year with a baseline expectation of going .5000. Nothing will really disappoint and I have been pleasantly surprised by similar Campbell era teams.

I agree. Six wins seems like the floor (and for a fan of my age [56], that is such an amazing thing to say considering that six wins rarely happened in Cyclone history outside of the 1970s), but nine wins seems quite possible.

Last year sucked. But we also won 8 games a few years ago with a QB who was high as balls during games only to quit the team and then a QB who’s max throw was 45 yards. We’re gonna be just fine.

I agree. We return a lot more than people want to admit, and have recruited well.

Well, what we know is we lost Purdy, Uwazurike, Kolar, Hall, Rose, Hummel, Allen, Mevis and Isheem Young. Now we have Dekkers, Blake Peterson, Easton Dean, J. Brock, Colby Reeder, Gerry Vaughn, Tyler Moore, Tyler Bittman and Beau Freyler. We have X and Noel as receivers. Also, Shaw, Darren Wilson, Dimitri Stanley and Greg Gaines. We have a lot of freshmen and redshirt freshmen that are total wild cards. Our returning starters on defense are all pretty darn good ones.

So, I think that all adds up to 9 wins. Well, or it could be 4.
