How do you feel about playing Georgia?

I am looking forward to any match up. I agree with the statement that any SEC team is greater than Navy from a pure atmosphere stand point. And who is to say we can't beat any team we play?
I don't see a matchup with Georgia in the cards. And I don't want one -- they would run us off the field.
I wouldn't be fooled by their win against GT. Georgia isn't that good. Joe Cox is a very limited QB who wouldn't be able to pick our defense apart. A.J. Green is one of the best receivers in the country, though.
I see Georgia as a better match up than South Carolina. I don't see us scoring more than 10 points on their defense. Could possibly get shut out depending how motivated they are.
Bowl games of this magnitude are such a crap shoot. Who knows. Kentucky being happy to be there might be the toughest match up.

Even the director (I think that was his title) of the Independence bowl was quoted in the paper last week that he thought we made it.
"Sounds" like South Carolina could be heading to the Papajohns Bowl in Birmingham.
I figured Music City would take Georgia but if I remember correctly Kentucky has taken some big crowds to Nashville like 2 out of the last 3 years so they probably remember that. I'm guessing Georgia fans wouldn't travel all that great to Nashville or Shreveport.
a all kidding mere you....you all would want Georgia over Auburn - people say NO NO NO Auburn will kill us....Sorry Georgia will annihilate ISU. At this point I dont even care who we have. Take the teams from Houston since you all believe thats the best team we can beat.

I'd rather get killed by a team coached by Mark Richt than one coached by Gene Chizik. I'm still hoping for the best case scenario; vs Minnesota in the Insight.
In all honesty, I can't find too many favorable matchups for us in bowl games. I'd prefer to see us in Houston, playing Navy, and recruiting the town.
There is no bowl game that exists that we would win by 24 points. We are not that good. At this stage in the program, we just need wins. A game in Houston against an opponent we can beat and in an area that we recruit heavily is better for the program right now than getting slaughtered by an SEC team in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Georgia is the type of team that could roll us or lose to us by 2TDs. They are so erratic week to week.
That was one of the worst Bama teams in 30 years and they beat Iowa State's 2nd best team in 30 years.
How was 2002 "great"? ISU lost 6 of it's last 7 games including to a new D1 program in UCONN on senior day. It was a great start, but an awful finish.
Spot on. This is a team that needs wins. This is a program that won a total of 9 games in the three years previous to this one. This is a program that hasn't won a bowl game in 5 years. This is a program that is on its third coach in 4 years. This is a program that went 6-6 this year with a soft schedule in a Big 12 that is probably as down as it ever has been and it took everything we had to get there. I am thrilled with where we are and excited for the future, but come on guys we are not a program ready to go toe to toe with one of the big name SEC programs.
