How bad is Allegiant?

I'm flying from Chicago Midway direct to Provo on Allegiant for the ISU game this November, it was $112 total round trip. I'll put up with anything for a flight that cheap haha.
Flew out of Provo the other way to Chicago last week for the first time. The new terminal is tiny but nice!

I love to watch the show "Air Disasters" on the Smithsonian Channel. Let's just say it seems like a lot of shows are about "Budget Airlines".
That being said, I've taken Frontier Airlines to Florida and it was fine.

Make sure you have enough time that a delay in departure doesn't have you missing kickoff.

Flown Allegiant many times, much fewer issues than other airlines I've used. Also, seems like lots of airline snobs in this thread.

Best advice is to be cautious with any budget airline for departures after noon. Direct flights only if possible. Depending on the airport, get there early if you have to check a bag (avoid) and because I've seen long security lines around budget airline gates.

Allegiant is great if you're using it for a lightly packed trip to Phoenix for a weekend. I've had way more delays from the big 3 than Allegiant
