For football and basketball we stay at the Best Western, easy access to "Elwood Drive" and Jack Trice/Hilton. Rooms aren't bad at all and pretty good breakfast.

Gotta love this for just for Elwood Dr. **** that change all these years later.

Would be a good bar name in the area

Pretty sure the team stays in Des Moines, and has for quite some time due to family or friends following the motorcade up to Ames.

I don’t know about every game. But my parents see the team frequently at the Gateway. I know for a fact that they were there the night before the UNI game because we rode on the elevator with several of them.

The road team stays in Des Moines.

We stayed at the Iowa House B&B this past summer. Nice room and convenient to campus.

Thanks for the response. I should have included that we are just looking for a medium grade room, some place clean and friendly.
