Horrible Officiating

Embarrassing thread. Officiating was fine. Less PI on that INT than Coopers pick vs Iowa.

The FG by OSU in 2011 was no good. This FG was no good.

Officiating was horrible. Was that a Big12 crew? If so, this league absolutely despises ISU. Having said that, this team has much bigger issues.

I couldn't watch the game due to other family activities, but I can assure you the FG was no good. Without even seeing it, I just know.

Now, what the heck happened? @#%$*+-#

In high school, the entirety of the ball must pass inside the uprights. If even 1% of the ball touches the goal-post extended, it's no-good.

I'm pretty sure it's the same in college but can't say for sure.

Regardless, there wasn't a camera angle that was perfectly squared with the field, so we'll never know for sure.

who gives af about the officials today. Least of our problems
Doesn't mean it doesn't affect the outcome. In the sports game there are two teams. Usually, unless you end up tying in some sports, someone wins. Sometimes it's the team that played great, sometimes it's the team that didn't play as well. There are no style points in the games we are observing here. The scoreboard tells the tale. So, just because you play like crap, but still manage to score more points than the other guy, you still deserve the win.

There is no clause in the rulebooks, that I know of, that states when a team has played a horrible game, the officials are to disregard calls on their behalf. That is just. a completely stupid argument.

Some of you are acting like we got blown out. The score was 10-7. Saying that NOTHING, not even one small thing, could have made a difference is crazy. We didn't play so poorly not to deserve the correct call on the PI. If we would have gotten that AND we would have in some amazing way, scored with less than 2 minutes to go (I know that is impossible as shown in the previous drive) we would have deserved the win.

Lose the turnover battle, lose the game. 2 weeks in a row. It's that simple.
Ask the Vikings how that's working for them.

I agree with many that the refs are certainly the least of our worries here, but have any on here ever heard of a two game stretch where the opposing teams had a total of 1 penalty? No teams are that good.
