For production value, original content and actually having a message this is way better. However that is all lost when factoring in cheesiness, this sets a new bar for that one which is hard to beat. They should have done an intro where they were some Nerdy folks in the local chamber office being told by a marketing consultant that they need to cater to the younger generation and then one says Okay???..... and they bust into this. That way it would at least be making fun of the cheesiness instead of looking like they are trying to be cool but fall well short. And the token Brooklyn lady yeah that didn't help.
I can't help but think that this video did what they wanted it to.
I mean, here we are, talking about Ames...

If they wanted me to attempt to gouge my own eyes out and make my ears bleed.... Bravo!!! Their video accomplished exactly what they wanted it to.
I would've preferred more of an Iowa Nice approach.

The whole thing reminded me of what happens when a group of old people wants to start a contemporary band at an old peoples' church.
After watching the entire thing again (guitar solo included), I now think that it is the best thing to come out of ISU since...

Being that it states that it was done for the Provost at ISU I sent the provost an email to let them know it is an embarrassment to the university.

You have completed a very fine and honorable task. Cyclones_R_GR8 will forever be known as the man that tried to save Ames from these terrible, terrible people that made this abomination of a video.
