Homicide at Arrowhead Stadium

Normal circumstances, no, I don't think he "should" be killed. He took a chance in robbing a car, things went bad, there was a struggle, he died, I don't have a problem with that. Better him than the people he was stealing from.

From what they were saying on the news, they don't even know for certain if he was actually robbing the car. Sounds like we are a long ways from knowing what actually happened yet.

It's not that long of an article, I'm not sure why people won't just read it. First, there is no indication this person was an opposing fan. This same incident could have played out at a Walmart. Second, it appears there is a question as to whether he was attempting to steal something or if he had mistakenly (and perhaps drunkly) just wound up in the wrong car.

I'm not condoning what the thief did but you really think that since he was stealing he should be killed?

Crime cannot be tolerated. Criminals thrive on the indulgence of society's understanding.

Yes, and the reports are saying there wasn't major signs of injuries that would kill him from a fight, so he may have been having medical issues. Or else he could have hit his head just right I guess.

Obviously I'm commenting from the standpoint that he died in a scuffle as a result of trying to rob someone, since the article I read said that. Obviously, if the guy just died or was murdered for no reason, my thoughts no longer stand. That's why, in my original post, I used the word, "If." I'll stick to my orginal statement as well. If a guy is robbing someone and he happens to die, I'm not going to be broken up about it.

If someone just dies, or is murdered for no reason, that's obviously a terrible situation and I don't wish that on anyone. I don't even "wish" death on a thief. Just saying if he happens to go, it's not a big loss.

Well I still think its a tragedy if someone dies like that, even if he is stealing some stuff out of a car. I can't stand thieves myself, but its certainly not enough to say "meh, no big deal."

We have had thieves that have been student athletes here at Iowa State. I feel like if this happened to Tyrus McGee, you all would be sticking up for him instead of saying, "meh, no big deal."
