HOMECOMING HIT TAPE

I was ready to get on to CF and yell at all of you for hating on this hit tape. But then you guys surprised me, and didn't hate this one. :jiggy:

This was a great hit tape.

I wish it would have ended with a picture of Jack Trice. That would have made any Cyclone fan tear up.
I was thinking that same thing, solid picture of him and then fade out. Or... I think it would've been awesome when the lyrics said, "just know that you're not alone, cause I'm gonna make this place your home..."

Re: Cytennial Hit Tape

It's pretty cool to see yourself and games you played in make the highlights for a hit tape.

Come on now, give us time of clip in video and Jersey # at least...and any memories you care to share of the moment memorialized for all time.

Cy was in the helicopter. The crowd erupted when he stepped off.

Wow, that would have been awesome to see. Can't imagine us accepting the liability of landing a helicopter in a crowd these days.

Near the 2:45 mark, there are some mammoth hits. Who are the players?

Probably be called for "targeting" today.

Way too mellow for my taste. I like the more upbeat/fire me up tapes. Don't get me wrong, I like the nostalgia of the tape. But I want my hit tapes to rock and get people ready to go out and "hit people coming off the bus". This just doesn't do it for me. It makes me sleepy.

That said, GO CYCLONES!

Awesome! I loved it. I agree, would be good to have some kind of write up on who/when some of those plays happened. I knew some of them but not the older ones.

Well done!

Incredible video. I think this is the best one since they've been making them. I don't have ties to ISU football anymore but this one was really cool.

Video give me chills, love that song too. Although fashions have changed for the better my god.

Best Part about this video is no matter what the score there is nothing better than being a CYCLONE and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Loved it. I've never felt any particular afinity for Iowa State homecoming...just another game to me. But Iowa State is what made me who I am in a lot of ways. And some of my best memories are Iowa State athletic events.

Couple things:
1) Excellent video
2) Holy **** have we worn some ugly *** uniforms
3) The field itself looks the best it has in the history of the stadium
4) Cy's garb has gotten loads better

Cy was in the helicopter. The crowd erupted when he stepped off.

Wow, that is so awesome. This brings up so many questions. I really thought I knew everything about ISU football. But I had no idea Cy ever arrived at the game via helicopter.

1. Why does this not happen every homecoming? I mean that would be just a great tradition.
2. Is there film or video of this happening? Why didn't they show it on the hit tape? Show the helicopter and not Cy getting off it?

This just blows me away that this ever happened. So cool.
