Anyone know of a good but inexpensive digital audio to RCA convertor? This is my new TV: Toshiba 46G300U - 46" class 1080p 120Hz LCD TV | LCD TVs | Televisions (got a helluva deal on it last week at American for $688) and the 1 thing it lacks is RCA audio output jacks. This is what the back looks like:

Any suggestions? Buying a new surround sound system is out of the question right now too BTW so need something that would would work with my existing stuff.

I have always had great luck with products from monoprice.com. I think this is basically what you need:

For only $22.40 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Digital Coax & Optical Toslink to Analog Audio Converter | Toslink Switch / Converter

No idea how good of a deal that is though because I have never looked for something quite like this. Their prices on video cables and speaker wire have been great for me, though.

That would be it, hope I can find something like that a touch cheaper possibly if I Google search for it. Toslink to RCA audio is probably the correct term for it.

I recently had a warranty claim with Samsung- they had no repairmen where I live so they replaced the tv with a new unit. It arrived yesterday and now I need to make a few adjustments-
The new tv is an 8k 75” with the Samsung One Connect box. Does anybody have experience hanging a Samsung tv with the One Connect box on a wall with a full motion tv mount (which I’m ordering)? Will the hardware that comes with the tv mount resolve the issue of the box hanging on the back of the tv and the bracket not going well together or will I have to contact Samsung about some wall bracket spacers?
Also the way the tv is set up my hdmi cord is going to be short of where it needs to be. What is a good 8k hdmi cord- it’s gonna need to be 12’-14’ long.

Is the mount purchased through Samsung directly or did you get it somewhere else online?

If you are buying 3rd party, be aware that Samsung's mounting points are usually recessed and they require longer, M8 screws. It's been my experience that the M8s that ship with standard mounting kits are not typically long enough. You can find M8s at any hardware store and grab some washers, you may need to double/triple up on washers if the M8s are too long.

Just a quick glance on Samsung site shows the box just propped against the back of the TV. It looks like the higher-end Samsung-brand mounts have a bracket for the One Connect. Depending on the weight, I would install a box like that using 3M velcro and slam it to the back of the display. Just make sure you check the heat as it can melt the adhesive on the velcro and the box will eventually fall. Another solution would be to mount the One Connect to the back wall above the mount. I use a system product called ZipClip which has a plate that you can zip-toggle to the wall and you secure your device with zip ties to the bracket that snaps on to the plate. You gotta purchase ZipClip through an AV rep but I'm sure there's something similar on Amazon.
