And when he did have time, he almost looked surprised and the throw was off. Like being too wide open for a 3 pointer instead of working for the shot.
What really pissed me off were the 3rd down routes short of the sticks. 3rd and 7. Screw it crossing route 2 yards past the LOS. Pretty sure I saw that damn play more than the old WR screen ****.
He was splitting time with Brock in the first game, before getting hurt, so the assumption is that he was RB2.
This. Wasn’t that ‘05 KU game where we got one of those infamous Big 12 apology letters? I seem to remember we ended up “losing” in overtime.
That ‘04 Missouri game wrecked me. Seriously. I remember I had the in-laws over that day and the wife made sure I played gracious host. Missed a lot of it…went into the bedroom and caught the 4th quarter including the shanked field goal. Brother- in -law went looking for me later and found me staring at the screen mumbling to myself. Soul crushing…absolutely soul crushing. Ask anyone, I was never the same after that
Penalty hitting Ku return guy way too soon. Not having a play ready and taking a penalty for delay of game in a change of possession. Several wr/qb communication issues. Couple picks.
It's like this every week though.
I remember KU in '05 being more of a "we choked it away, predictably" than "we got screwed." But that's just my memory, I'd have to look it up and I'm a few drinks deep at the moment so that isn't happening.
On a positive note our D will give us chances to win games …
Or perhaps the special teams does. Or on some occasions, both the special teams and offense do!
We held them to 28 total yards in the second half … and lost….
28 freaking yards in the second half and we can’t give our D a W! I can’t take how much that pisses me off!
That's a wild stat, almost impossible to imagine really.
That’s my biggest issue though with CMC, Manning, and ST’s.
We were loaded with veterans all over the field last year and ranked 6th or something like that….. and still pissed the season down our leg making all the same stupid mistakes, dumb play calling, stupid penalties, horrible ST’s, etc, etc.
This staff has already shown it has nothing to do with being young…. it’s just another lame excuse from CMC. I can’t remember what his excuses were last year when we had the most veteran team ever and still made all these stupid mistakes that you don’t see other teams make? Did he say we had too many expectations put on us or what! It’s always something.
And when pressed at all on some of these things, you can tell he has a short fuse and almost acts like he can’t believe you actually questioned him on it. He’s so much like KF it’s unreal.
