Yeah, I am pretty sure I never banned you. We do work as a team on all bannings, though, so I support whatever was done...
Angie, I hope you also discuss and reprimand MODs when they go over the line and refuse to remember what moderator means. I suspect that is why I get some leeway with my replies to '85 given his obsession and need to reply to anything I type.

I was there all day and didn't see any bad Hawk fan behavior.

Damn, I KNEW that I missed one!

Not that you guys are the devil or anything, but you do have a LOT of idiots in your fanbase.

Nothing but a casual observer, but it does seem pretty obvious that the mod 85 seems to not have any tolerance for this rebecca dude.

If you've read his usual schtick. its deserving.
Angie knows that I try to refrain from personal attacks and almost always succeed. It's not suppose to be allowed but the playing field is obviously not level when a Mod is allowed to blatantly break that rule on a regular basis.

ISU's fan base is unquestionably more educated (I don't know how anyone could try and argue), but we still have plenty of complete idiot fans, as this board demonstrates on a regular basis.

And let's not forget to mention that you "people" have--MikeM!:spinny::spinny:

Unquestionably? I don't see how you can make that unquestionable. Are you trying to say there's more college graduates that are ISU fans than Iowa fans? Or are you considering this proportionally?

Stats are everything, people.

Proportionally.

I would assume that at least 75% of ISU fans are college grads.

Because (honestly), there isn't much reason for someone who didn't go to ISU to decide to root for the Cyclones. Joe Schmoe trailer park dweller in Leon isn't going to look at the Cyclones and Hawkeyes and say "you know what? I'm going to cheer for the team that loses more". The bottom rung has no reason to cheer for ISU over Iowa, so inevitably a significant portion of the Iowa fanbase is going to be made up of those folks.

If ISU was more historically successful they'd be Clones and this whole discussion would be flipped. Really, its a compliment to Iowa's on-field success.

I did however see a rather obnoxious Clone fan with a baby. At one point he hurled a soiled diaper at a table of Hawk fans. The Hawk fans politely returned the diaper and offered to buy them lunch.

Seems likely in this particular case.

This makes sense.

On a side note, I don't even where Leon is, but at least if I meet someone from there and they claim to be a Cyclone, I can call their ********

I think thats pretty much every fanbase

Sure, and iowa has more than most. They have more low-life, white trash, idiot fans than a majority of the teams out there. Doesn't help that they basically have free reign of the entire lower (uneducated) crust of the state. Not that I wouldn't want ISU to have more fans, but some of them they can keep.

Take my 22 month old son to "The Landing" in Cedar Rapids after his nap yesterday as he loves their frys with the "Slap 'Yo Momma" spice. He is wearing his New STL Cardinals Cap from Busch this week-end and I'm wearing my "Cy's House of Trivia T-shirt." This guy (who it turns out is 3 sheets to the wind) who is wearing a cubs T-shirt and tiger-hok cap yells at me and my son as we come in "This is a Cub's and Hawk's Bar so get you ***** out of here." Just walked in and thought he was joking so I say something like "Can you believe it, Theriot ties the game and they pitch to Albert 2 days in a row" and we walk over away from the bar to the eating area. Put Ethan in the booster chair and go to sit down and this guy is in my face. Says "have you taken your pill yet" and I say "what pill" --- he yells "the one that turns you into Superman and keeps me from kicking your ***" --- Ethan starts crying and 3 guys rush over and escort the gentleman out, they come back, apologize and buy us lunch. This world has some real scum bags..........and a lot of good folks too. Just had to share....sometimes real life is better than fiction. Swear to God.

Welcome to Cedar Rapids.. Home to tavern Hawks galore. Many are small-town transplants that moved to CR to stay drunk and stupid

There are more ISU grads living in the state of Iowa than from any other University. Fact! Even John Miller quoted this statistic when he was still on the radio.
