What happened to all the talk about hockey? Wasn't the Club Hockey national tournament this weekend?

Yes. I was a bit surprised there wasn't more hockey talk here. Unfortunately, the Clones lost in the first round 6-3. Just one of those games.

Low media coverage doesn't help. Most of the hockey talk came from the CF members that are very TRUE fans. I think a couple of them were actually at the tournament so they not have had the chance to do much posting.

They had a great season. With a great group of underclassmen, next year should be a good year.

I am also a huge fan of Minnesota's DI NCAA squad. Even though they have been looking average since x-mas, I will be suprised if they dont' make it to the frozen four. Of course they need to make it through the WCHA final five in a couple of weeks. We'll see how that goes. SCSU and UND have had their way with them so far this year.

I'm hoping they are placed in the Grand Rapids bracket so I can see my Gophers here in Michigan!

I heard a rumor over the weekend that Murdoch may not be back with the Hockey Club next year. Anyone know anything?

As far as I know, that's just a rumor and I work here. So nothing new to report on. Coach Murdoch is getting older, but he's about as energetic as ever so ya never know with him.

Next season is going to be just as exciting as this year has been, so don't be surprised if you see the ole coach back on the bench. He's creeping up on 900 career wins...so look out! Over the last two years, the Cyclones have won 65 games. That's crazy!
