I gotta say, Hilton sounded loud as heck last night on the TV. I think a lot of the new guys got introduced to just a taste of what Hilton Magic has to offer, and you could tell how jacked they were. In one of the post-game interviews, Lindell gushed about how the Hilton crowd got him fired up, and it's just so cool to see the pure excitement and happiness on his face. This makes me happy as a Cyclone fan.

Good job everyone that was there. Any insights on the atmosphere from you guys?

It was most certainly loud in there. I've definitely been to games where it was louder but last night ranks up there. Well done, Cyclone fans!

At the risk of sounding like the old, negative guy ... I would say it was a decent volume/intensity for a conference-like game. It was certainly not an "off-the-chains-remember-where-you-were-when" game. Part of that had to do with poorer early game shooting and defense which kept the intensity in check.

To the haLks credit, they did a good job of preventing any serious ISU runs. We also didn't really need any "magic" to win last night.

QFT.

Yup, the crowd feeds off of big runs and yuge dunks and stuff and those we somewhat limited by the flow in this game.

Idk this game just didn't seem as loud to me as the other Iowa and KU games I've been too. There was a couple loud moments but they died out pretty quickly.

There really wasn't any 'Magic' just ISU taking care of an amped up opponent.

Iowa actually did well at not letting any crazy runs happen to estalish momentum.

Wiggs will see how great it is when good teams come in.

Yes, but not every game can be like that or that would be the new normal...then we would just be in the same place we are in now.

I like how CSP and Babb just looked over and laughed like kid you don't even know lol

Just wait until Lard plays 27 minutes a game instead of 15...
Lard averages 7.3 fouls per 40 minutes. He would foul out if he played 27 minutes. If he can stay on the court that long would be considered great progress.

He has a long ways to go with defensive help position and just making the smart defensive play. To much gambling at this point and taking himself out of the play.

I showed my wife this clip. She brought up a great point. What multimillionaire coach reaches into the team cooler, grabs a blue gatorade, hands it to his son then plops his son on his lap during a P5 Division 1 press conference?? .............And that is why Steve Prohm is awesome in our house.

..I think that is the OP's point.

Iowa had so many crowd silencers that didn’t allow Hilton to fully go bananas, but it was a pretty good environment.
