High School 3 Point Contest

I'm going to be sure to bump this thread when this '13 KU class crushes for the next year or two. I guess it drives folks crazy to project them positively - which if you look at history, is what happens.

I'm projecting Kansas to win the Big 12 next year because of their class. No hate there from me.

The more I see them, the more I agree. Now I'm just curious who the 5th starter will be alongside our two freshman guards and our two returning forwards.

I think Thomas starts because he has the size and body already.

I'm excited for these two as well, but I will be surprised if Bubu and SDW aren't our starters at least at the beginning of the season.

Bubu gets knocked here a lot for turnovers (rightfully so) and "not being a scorer" (I disagree). The last two years he missed significant parts of the season. I think he would be a much better player with a full preseason and not missing practice.

I'll put it this way: I think ISU finishes in the top half of the Big XII with Bubu and SDW starting. If Monte and/or Thomas beat them out, we're just that much stronger.

Really? They've rotted to the tune of a decade straight of Big 12 titles. Who has rotted on their roster? I hate KU but I'm not blinded by it.

Looks like he's a dead eye if you leave him open. Not sure about his ability to create a shot or rise up and shoot over anyone. Looks a tad slow here, but obviously is just a 3pt competition.

Really? There have been several, if not a dozen, "good" recruits that never "pan out" to their ranking. There is only one ball and 200 minutes a game.

Frankamp is a amazing scorer. He led the USA team in ppg and I think he may have broken the Kansas scoring record for points in a career.
There are going to be some great young 3 point shooters in the big 12 with him, Thomas, and forte.

For every highly rated KU player that has rotted on the bench, there has been a kid who came into that program without much fanfare, and made huge contributions during their career.
