he's baaack

I think he was playing down low alot more yesterday. That may have contributed to his rebounding totals. Either way, it was the 1st night I thought he looked solid on defense. Up until last night he was getting burned alot. Last night he seemed more grounded on the D side of things

And the thing is that he STILL didn't play his best and came away with these stats. I guess I keep thinking about the quick, highly contested 3-pointer he took later on in the game and then after missing it he was late getting back and that pain-in-our-neck big white guy hit another 3 on us to keep it respectable.

its just great to see and we may be a real threat to pull some upsets this season... i'd say 8-8 in conference is not out of the real of possibility

I think Wesley was a lot better. It almost works better to have Craig on the perimiter, pulling out his defender. Wesley can outrebound any 2 in the conference, and he is a better rebounder than Craig.

It was great to see Wes drive tot he basket as much as he did last night. I'm hoping that sometime in the future we'll run some plays where we'll be able to get Wesley an opportunity to post up on someone.

If Brackins can find his shot from the outside again then it will open up some great opps for Wes to hang out down low...

that put back by wesley after that haluska miss was the best dunk ive seen wesley do all year long he just jumped quick and jammed it with two hands and that gave the team the spark they needed.

I thought he played the best defense he's played all year. He seemed to stay low and keep in front of the smaller guards. He also showed that he can handle the ball very well. He can cause a lot of other teams problems at the 2 position because he can shoot the 3, create off the dribble, and post up. I would like to see him at the 2 next year also, with Lucca at the 3. I know there isn't much difference between the two positions but I think the 2 position handles the ball a little more.

I don't disagree with you, but Lucca has just as good if not better of a handle then Wes. Gmac has mentioned before that Lucca could play the point if needed.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I heard GMac say that ball handling was one thing that Lucca could improve on? I haven't seen Lucca play so I guess I really don't know. If Lucca is a better ball handler than Wes, that makes me feel better yet!!!

Wes was a man on fire last night. I hope he can carry that spark through the rest of the season. Don't take this the wrong way, but he needs to have the confidence that Taylor had last year when it comes to the offensive end of the court. I'm not talking about throwing up half-courters. I'm talking about having a scorers mentality every time he touches the ball.
