As far as the summer league games go for former cyclones is White supposed to be on the 76ers summer league team this summer? I havent been able to find anything saying he was but the trade did just happen a couple of days ago.

I believe most (all?) trades aren't official until after the July Moratorium which ends on the 10th.

Now people can get off his back about playing summer league for Houston. Its clear he wasn't invited down for that reason, they planned to trade him.

Well they traded him to make room for Howard, who just decided to come Friday. Hard to say if there was a plan to trade him all along.
