Heather's dad passed yesterday. Such a kind man who was obviously a huge supporter of his daughter.

When Heather was here was when my mom and were close with players and their families and we knew the Ezell's well. He was an amazing guy.

Just heard this news recently. Got to see Doug at Heather's wedding in 2021. He always had kind words and took time to chat (Glenna as well), no matter the occasion. Very sad. Looks like the service is scheduled for Tuesday, based on a quick Google search.

My wife and I sat by him at the Big 12 tourney when it was held in OKC. I believe Heather was a senior that year. He was a good fan, really proud of his daughter (of course) with a great smile.

A friend used to work for the WBB team and I used one of her free tickets to attend games when I lived in Ames. My seat was almost always next to Heather's dad and if it wasn't next to him, he'd come sit with me or invite me over as I was usually flying solo. Very kind man, passionate about Cyclone WBB, and so so very proud of Heather.
