HCG diet....

My suggestion is to go to myapex.com, spend $200 and get a bodybugg. You wear it, it gives you an idea of how many calories you burn and gives you a place to log what you are eating. The program makes recommendations on how many calories you should be taking in versus what you are actually burning.
I am wearing mine right now..I have lost and kept off 80 pounds...now I am working on losing the last 40 or so pounds.

Burning fat isn't a mystery...it is calories consumed versus calories burned. You still need to eat, but balance it with burning more. Eating smart versus eating for the sake of getting in calories is big too.

I wish you good luck!

If anyone wants a bodybugg they are cheaper at costco. My wife got one for $150 with a years membership to the online service.

Nothing like starving yourself to lose a quick 20 lbs, will be back after Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I started working out 5 days a week and on a 1400 cal diet, no fast food, no pop, etc.. have lost 15 lbs in about 2 months, I feel better, and can play5 games of pick up ball without being too tired, haven't done that since I was in High school, I am 30 now. I get the instant gratification, but it is nice when you skip a day and only have to catch up on a pound because of it, put yourself in a starvation situation and you will put on 5 lbs over a weekend pretty easily, maybe more. I just remember back to wrestling, easy to put on 8 lbs in a day and have 3 days to lose it. Non healthy at all.

You can't lose fat on a 800 calorie diet. You will first lose muscle weight and water weight and a little bit of fat. Your body will think that it's starving and will try to hold on to all the fat stores it has. Eat 4 small meals a day .Protien every meal, calories around 2500.
Aerobic exercise 5 days a week , weight lifting 3 days a week and I promise you that you will lose weight and build muscle.

Well, you're ahead of 95% of people who have a goal in sight. Impatience is the worst thing you can have when it comes to losing weight. There is no good, sustainable way to lose weight (short of surgery) in a hurry, and diet pills will only be effective if you feel like using them the rest of your life.

I've tried Atkins and South Beach. I lost a lot of weight in a hurry on both diets - until my body figured out what was going on with both of them, hit the biggest plateau both times, got frustrated, and ended up worse off both times than when I started.

Now I'm just looking to eat "sane" and "clean". I usually have a bowl of oatmeal mixed with honey and a handful of trail mix for breakfast, a banana for snack, half a sandwich and a can of vegetable soup for lunch, yogurt and berries for snack, and a large bowl of salad as well as a "sane" portion size for dinner. I run (if you can call what I do "running") for 30-40 minutes during my lunch break, and once my body is used to that I'm going to add in resistance training and extra cardio on alternating days after work. I'm just looking to lose 10 lb/month (which supposedly is right in the "healthy" 2 lb/week range). My biggest thing is making this a "lifestyle change" - this needs to become part of my everyday life instead of some 3-4 month fad that I fall off of when I get sick, injured, or bored.

And if anyone wants to keep track of my progress... JT's Boot Camp | Facebook

The best thing I've learned is to just eat to your activity level. Since my activity level is low i try to eat 200-300 calories ever 2 hours or so. I was starving the first 3 days but after that less food fills me up.

hcg as in human chorionic gonadotrophin? That is the hormone released when a woman is pregnant. I thought that was used to regulate progesterone levels. Why are people taking that to lose weight? Seems kinda scary for men to be taking this.

HCG is widely recognized and used in male hormone replacement therapy. Used in conjunction with T shots or cream it restarts your gonads into making T. Outside sources of T will supress your bodies innate ability to make it so if you have crappy T levels (like some of us that aren't cut from the ideal genetic mold) and take a T supplement the HCG will restart your testes. Not only will it assist in your T supplementation routine, but it will make the boys feel fuller (if you're into things like filling out a speedo - which I will gladly do!).

Maybe he's using it to mask HGH on drug tests... :jimlad:

I've heard losing more than a pound a week can be unhealthy, I guess depending on ur weight. I've gone from above 185 (stopped weighing myself) to now 167.

1 to 2 pounds per week is considered safe weight loss by most things I've seen. You may start off faster since you'll lose a lot of water weight to begin with, but over the long haul 1 to 2 pounds is a pretty good number to shoot for.

for those wondering, hcg is commonly used during and after anabolic steroid cycles to maintain and stimulate testosterone production.

I have a feeling whatever the OP is taking is fake considering his nutrition knowledge

Can you buy real actual HCG from anything other than the no neck guy in the gym?

BTW, HCG is Jwoww approved! So you know it must be a great idea:

Jwoww - My Diet ..

I hear herpes is a side effect.

I like this part:

Light exercise is acceptable but it would be better to do no heavy exercise. A light walk is normally the most you should attempt.
Yeah because you'll have no ******* energy because you're eating 500 calories a day and your body is just trying to survive.

Fake based on the fact it was prescribed by a doctor who specializes in male hormone replacement therapy here in Spokane? Fake like my doctor - who's a vascular surgeon by the way - runs a medical office that specializes in other things like nutritional counseling, metabolic testing, athletic performance testing? Yeah probably fake and somebody should turn him in.

I don't want to challenge your mastery of all things cellular, but Dr. John Cristler (not my doctor) is a well-known expert in the field and I do defer to his opinion on many things involving my body. Not saying you probably don't have some great ideas for my body as well but then again I never once read a research paper you published. I should probably google you (platonically of course) to determine your ability to help me and my individual health needs and concerns.

But you're probably right.

It is hard work, I've lost 45 pounds since March and I'm not where I'd like to be, but my diet is something that I'm completely comfortable with and can live with for a long time. It's definitely a long haul, but if you can stick with it for a couple weeks you'll see results that make you want to stick it out longer.

Nice work. I've lost 45 since January, but with that same idea of making it into a lifestyle that can be sustained.

There are better ways to do 20 pounds than this crash thing, and it really doesn't have to take that long to be done in a healthy way.

You deserve all the crap you are getting because 1) your diet is idiotic, and 2) you originally said you were taking HCG as a weight loss drug, and now you claim its a prescription for hormone replacement. Those are VERY different things.

Very different things true - but not mutually exclusive. I WAS on subQ HCG as part of hormone replacement therapy which included testosterone cream (prescribed by a doctor, compounded at a local pharm, and paid for by insurance if anyone doubts the authenticity) but am now taking it "off label" and in different doses/ways for weight-loss purposes (again doctor, pharm and health reimbursement account). HCG will not make you lose weight but HCG allows me to feel great while on a greatly reduced calorie diet. I'm coming up on 2 weeks and feel great, have great energy, have quit blood pressure meds as well as reflux meds and have zero hunger. My bodyfat percentage is decreasing (based on my ironman scale) and I'm eating more green veggies than most others on here. In short - its working for me and is a great way to jumpstart/restart dietary changes.

I guess it would just be easier to eat less and exercise more, but for SOME of us its like telling a bald guy to just grow hair, or a short guy to just get taller.
