Hawks NCAA chances

You do not know that Illinois basketball has given up any more than you know 2010 Iowa football gave up.

Giving up runs contrary to the fight song.

Well let's see. Clayborn said the team lost its will to win. That's not supporting evidence for the team having given up at all. And I said this Illinois team certainly appears to have given up. They definitely aren't playing inspired basketball right now.

And the fight song? Really?

BREAKING NEWS: Sources announce that 11 players are on the field at all times for each team.

1. Coaching mistakes (clock management being the chief issue here, but we were outcoached at times, too. Wisky's fake punt springs to mind.).

2. Players giving up (Clayborn's "will to win" comment. And if you watched the Minnesota game last year, you know that's no joke. Iowa looked an awful lot like Illinois' basketball team does now, save for DJK.).

3. The other team made the plays. Persa made a helluva play to beat us, just like their DB made a great play to pick off Stanzi. Terrelle Pryor made the clutch play on 4th down to put the nail in the coffin, etc.

Every Iowa loss is FB, is because they were 'flat' --which I whole-heartily agree with.

If it weren't for those flat games, Iowa would easily be 13-0 the last 10 seasons running and nat'l champs.

2012 will be no different. In between those flat games, will be unsurpassed dominantion against Purdue, Indiana, and Western Michigan

Nice. Way to completely skip over the other two reasons for their losses in 2010, and just pick the one you think you can jump all over. Not every loss was because Iowa was flat, or had given up. But that was a significant factor in the Minnesota game.

In his defense, logical fallacies are kind of his MO.

I'm really taken aback by these personal put-downs. I'm supporting the Hawks and you cyclones side with my detractors

What side are you on?

Obviously, even personal put downs by your fellow posters can't stop your fanatical rants. Get back on your medication please, and quit sitting around the house in your underwear all day posting here!:wideeyed:

So says the Iowa fan begging for respect on a Cyclone message board. We're not worthy!

Word to breck53: It's a message board

Your "fellow" Cyclone fans seem to share the sentiment.

That the U of Iowa and their fans are the greatest ever?

of course I share that sentiment. It's the prevailing wisdom out there in the real world
