Hawkeye lunacy?

First of all they have yet to say this is going to happen officially, just an idea.

Second when asked about being able to show the game it was stated that working out the logistics and details for this are still up in the air and if it's even possible.

Third it was stated that any funds raised would more than likely be donated to charity. I believe that is the most logical way around ABC rights and airing the game.

So yeah i'm pretty sure our "genius" AD has thought of that!!!

One of the things that I have been wondering is how they can show the game and charge when it is protected by ABC and the Big 12. Wouldn't that be against the law. Maybe their genuis AD hasn't thought of that. Would be funny if they put 31K in the stands and then couldn't show the game.

Reminds me of something I saw last fall...After that Dodger game where they hit 4 home runs back-to-back in the bottom of the ninth to tie, and another in the bottom of the 10th to win, I was browsing the the KFWB (Dodger flagship station) website. They are not permitted to show MLB game footage on their website, so they did a bobble-head doll reinactment of the game highlights. It was kind of funny.

If the Hawks get 30,000 in their stadium and can't show the game, they can just do a bobble-head doll reinactment of the game in progress and show that on the screen. I'm sure the drunken masses in Kinnick won't be able to tell the difference...

Good thing Tator Tot's gone otherwise they wouldn't be able to fit his bobblehead inside Iowa City, much less Kinnick...

It would just be nice to have the ISU season ticket holders not scalp some of there "premium" seats.

I don't know how you will ever stop that practice in Ames. I've complained for years that Clone Fans need to not only buy tickets, but use them to go to the game. Now there's a novel idea!

Would that charity be the Kirk retirement home in Palm Beach?
