New flash: Paul Rhoads is no Johnny Majors...

Johnny Majors was a great coach IMO. Majors was at Iowa State for 5 seasons........he had losing seasons in 4 of those seasons. And had a losing record the last season in his last year at Iowa State. IMO, he is the coach that got some excitement started for Iowa State Football.

Our stadium is finally making the step up from MAC level to bottom tier Big 12 level! The wins will surely be here in no time.

Middle tier?

Some of us went to home football games here just 40 years ago.

We get it Stormin, the program has made progress. You have been the beacon of perspective for that progress and I commend you. However, that doesn't change the fact that the stadium didn't look like a Big 12 Stadium until a few months ago. Today, I can proudly say Jack Trice finally looks like a Big 12 Stadium, and based upon VeloClone's statistics, one that is decently in the middle of the pack moving forward.

So you are saying that ISU did not have a Big 12 Stadium until the SEZ started taking place????

I have the perspective of watching the same thing happen to other coaches. Johnny Orr, for example had 2 horrendous seasons in a row, in 1989-90 and 1990-91......and that was in Johnny's 10th and 11th seasons at ISU.

IMO, we won't have a 2 win season or a 3 win season......and we won't lose to UNI. So why say such BS.

So who is the Fred Hoiberg equivalent coming out of that tunnel to rejuvenate Paul's career?

yeah you were wrong on this one but in your defense I think it says more about Big 12 stadiums than it does about Iowa State that they're #3 in capacity.

Good thing Purdue isn't in the Big 12 or ISU would be #4 in capacity.
