hawk fb program headed to the bottom

I do agree that Bibbs wasn't good enough to get drafted. He had too many flaws. Lacked speed, height, blocking ability, and wasn't that good of a route runner either.

However, if he had gone to OU, we don't know how much better he might have been developed either. I think if he had played a couple years at OU, he would have been good enough to get drafted.

It is not a good sign though that Iowa State is becoming known as a place where your football career goes to die. We aren't a stepping stone to the NFL. Quite the contrary.

Not sure if it would have made a difference. Not sure how good Bibbs' work ethic was. That is usually the difference.

Dallas Clark is from my area of the state. Knew his father. His father said that Dallas was not the best athlete of his sons. Derrick played for Iowa State. But his father said that Dallas Clark was definitely the hardest worker of his sons. That makes all the difference.

Bibbs was good enough to get drafted, not sure why he didn't. Maybe his string of injuries were a concern. Hell, Blake Bell and AJ Derby got drafted and they barely played TE in college. The most surprising thing to me was that there were TONS of TEs drafted. Probably better off for him that he went free agent so he could find the best fit.

How about if Iowa State beats UNI this fall, then you leave these boards forever and if UNI wins this fall, then I leave these boards forever. Deal?
Why I'll be rooting loud and proud for ISU, even though I think we lose. What's rooting for a coaching change have to do with posting on CF? I will say if we do lose, I doubt you do post after that, which I don't blame you. Trust me I was in the same position you are but that was 3 years ago, when I thought we took that next step in the progam after the 2011 win against OSU. We never changed after that huge win, in fact we have flat out tanked and are about as bad as we have ever been.

I have the perspective of watching the same thing happen to other coaches. Johnny Orr, for example had 2 horrendous seasons in a row, in 1989-90 and 1990-91......and that was in Johnny's 10th and 11th seasons at ISU.

IMO, we won't have a 2 win season or a 3 win season......and we won't lose to UNI. So why say such BS.

"I have an opinion about things I think will happen in the future so why would you even say other things that go against that opinion?" Can't argue with that logic.

Sounds like you really do not believe UNI will beat Iowa State. Otherwise you would take the deal.

Not a single draft pick. I feel horrible for Bibbs, he gave up a lot coming here. It ended up costing him in the wallet, no doubt he would have been drafted if he went OU. Change in the leadership of this program can't come fast enough, how long until December?

id say bibbs refusal to block cost him in his wallet. Not rhoads, no matter what you think.

Called blocking ability.

Why would he take that deal? It's pointless, because you'll likely vanish from the board for a while if UNI wins regardless of whether or not someboy makes an internet promise against you.

So it's about Bibbs and CPR sucking. Not Hawk football tanking? Just trying to get it straight.

Most ironic thread ever. Most threads are about ISU sucking at football and CPR getting fired. Then they devolve in to Iowa sucks too, B10 over rated, we would win 9 games with their schedule. This one started with Iowa sucks and devolved in to we suck too and fire CPR.

Because he wasn't good enough to get drafted?

To any Hawk fans out there was Malik Rucker going to play much this year? Saw he left the program. He was a good recruit and I know we offered him

maybe some. the secondary is one of the only places we are OK for this yr. Most of the top 5 or 6 is pretty secure, draper or snyder may have been the 2 he coulda beat out but obviously didnt. Yes it does hurt having a potentially good player leave but its still all potential kinda like Willies. If he goes some where else and contributes then yeah KF screwed up, if not then it might not as big of deal. heres what hawkeyereport.com has listed as the current depth.

With this reasoning, we'd expect ISU combine participants to post amazing results since they are presumably more rested than any of the other participants, right? With the consistent lack of a postseason and all. Idiot

Now Fred would likely go after this kid, but I'm sure Rhoads will pass on it.

That doesn't even make sense

Has it gotten to the bottom yet? How long is this going to take, do I have enough time to get a coffee?

My goodness their roster is full of below average players. They play in a terrible division with hardly any good games on the schedule.

Add that to ISU'S continued growth and another win this year over them in football and it's a clear sign of where their program is heading.

I'm guessing ferentz loses his job after nightmare he created a quarterback for next year and the demise of hawk football will be complete.

I think most hawk fans see it coming. That's why they are trying to give away tickets now. It's rather funny.

I've missed that. Link?
