I'm sure you've reached higher meltdown status considering you're coming off 3 and 2 win seasons, but considering it's week 2 and all of the thread titles are negative in the football forum I'd consider that a meltdown.
Maybe you're not having a meltdown because you act like football doesn't exist #basketballschool but your fellow ISU fans are having a tough time.

And as far as my "amazing" comment goes, you just throw out these massive generalizations about Iowa. Recruiting hasnt been "terrible" it hasnt been great, but it hasnt been terrible. When you are comparing our recruiting rankings with MSU, Maryland, Wisc, Mich, etc., yeah, its not going to look great. And as far as only having one good player... whatever dude. If you honestly believe that, then I dont know what I can say to change your mind.

When you compare it to Northwestern, Rutgers, Penn State, Nebraska, etc it has been worse.
B1G Recruiting rankings
2013 - 14th (I'll give that one a pass because Uthoff was a transfer that year so he didn't count, Jok has been awful so far though)
2014 - 11th (terrible class, even you will admit that)
2015 - 13th (ahead of only Michigan but they brought in only one recruit who was a 4*)
I think Iowa only has one good player, since that is so ridiculous who is Iowa's second best player?
Who is Iowas second best player? Gessell has proven himself to be a solid B1G point guard. He hasnt lit the world on fire, but he really has never lost us a game. And doint point to him missing those FT as ISU. He was young, and on the road. Woody, Uhl and Clemmons should all be solid as well. Plus, there are freshman that are going to play, too.
Also, we are arguing about the meaning of "terrible". Like, for you, if something isnt "awesome", its terrible. Just like at one time, we were arguing about the word "talented". Ill agree that the recruiting hasnt been great, or where we want it, but if it was consistently so terrible, then why have we been finishing int he top have of a stacked B1G? Coaching? That doesnt work either, cause that would mean you would have to give Fran credit.

Hahaha! Thats pretty good. Wont argue with you there. Ill be honest, Im surprised Fry is still kickin. I met him at a charity golf event years ago, and I didnt think he had that much time left. And that was at least 10 yrs ago.
All we heard last week was "15 in a row"....we hear it every time ISU wins against U of I.
If Gesell is Iowa's second best player I will stick by my statement Iowa has one good player. Iowa's backcourt cost them a lot of games last year
