Since your president got called out for skewing information by the uni president you may want to have another look.

Yeah.... Iowa has just been turning away iowa kids. That's why they started an expensive campaign about being the university for iowa.

It's about time the board of regents stopped propping them up with extra money.

It's panic time in Iowa city.

ISU is beating Iowa in the classroom under which statistics? Please support your argument.

There's one that's been brought up, and that was that Iowa gets more applications than ISU yet has less (read: accepted) student population. Which doesn't look completely favorable if ISU is such a better education institution. So I wouldn't keep using the class size argument that you're stuck on.

That should be the next coach's goal. Seriously. Put it in the damned contract. Beat Oklahoma and the rest should take care of itself. Beating Iowa isn't that big of a deal and that's why this thread is a total fail.

Oklahoma hasn't even been that good the last few seasons. This has been the time to beat Texas and Oklahoma, if there has ever been such a good time. I mean, Baylor took OU to the woodshed in Norman.

I started to think you were going to support your statement. Then you made sure not to disappoint.

Luster in Minnesota? Missouri? Nebraska taking a nose dive? I have heard it all.

Just a quick question. When tcu destroys Minnesota again this year will the luster still be evident.

You can't make this stuff up.

That poster does have a point that there is less luster playing teams like TCU, Baylor, Tech, WVU than playing Missouri, Nebraska, or even Minnesota.

Yea, you're right, playing schools in neighboring states in which you can make a feasible roadtrip as someone living in Iowa would suck. Iowa State and Nebraska/Missouri/Minnesota have a history... Iowa State and TCU don't. Rivalry does make up football. I understand your one track mind in regards to strength of Texas schools compared to northern schools (I know it and see it, living in Texas) and I do enjoy being near schools that ISU plays, but the tradition just hasn't been developed over decades like other schools.

Agreed. But they're consistently in the league title race and always will be with the resources at their disposal. Can TCU & Baylor keep up their recent level of success in the long term?

When is the last time iowa beat osu?

That clearly means something, right?

Did it mean A&M sucked when they couldn't sniff a big twelve title in football?

Oh yes. The important questions.

Thats not the question... the question is if ISU should beat OU at least every 15 years.

So...just to point out a few things.

1.) I wouldn't ever say that our fan base 'Expects' to beat Iowa every year (except in B-Ball). I would say that our fanbase thinks that we have a better than 50% chance to win. That makes us optimistic at best. I don't think many in our fanbase went into last year's game EXPECTING to win.

2.) I LOVE that we won the game last year! Gives me a year of bragging rights over my Hawk friends. In addition, it gives me hope for a victory next year too

3.) Just because we won at Iowa does NOT indicate our program is in better shape. I don't know how the hell anyone could extrapolate that, regardless of how many stats you want to skewer. Did Iowa have an easier schedule? Undoubtedly. Did we beat Iowa? Absolutely. Did Iowa beat the teams that they were supposed to beat? Yes, except for Iowa State. Did Iowa State beat the teams we were supposed to beat? Ask NDSU, T-Tech, Kansas about that.

4.) Those of you who are talking ****, please stop making yourselves look stupid.

How did you take his question and again turn it into something about Iowa?

If you're still curious about the little brother thing.. you may want to look at your posts.

Only to a hawk fan would those comments be about iowa. The comment is about the absurdity of the question.

And pointing out other similar situations makes that point very clearly.

See...you got it. BTW the thread is about the hawk program hitting rock bottom.

PS I'm not curious at all about who is little brother. Iowa is. That's the entire point of the thread. Thanks for bringing it up again little brother.

Facts can be tough on people.

If Iowa is at rock bottom with a 7-6 record, where is Iowa State?
