Actually it is. The Big 12 currently and historically has had the best officiating in college basketball."One of best officials in the BigXII" isn't saying very much.

Our refusal to recognize our players is just ridiculous.
So much entertainment value and Cyclone pride delivered from those guys. Holy Crap.....Still think a few more jerseys need to go to the rafters in Hilton
Marcus Fizer
Jamal Tinsley
Melvin Ejim
Georges Niang
Monte Morris
Can anyone make a case why these guys don’t deserve it? Btw you don’t need to have graduated to have your jersey hung. Grayer has his hung before he graduated
Oof. That’s a sad stat.Actually it is. The Big 12 currently and historically has had the best officiating in college basketball.
This has been covered several times and Pollard has gone over the criteria in place set by the ISU Letterwinners Club.
1. Graduate
2. All American
3. ISU Hall of Fame
The guys above only have 2 of the 3.
I agree they deserve to be up there, but this is the reason they are not.
Probably not asking the right person but are other schools honoring his service?Fans were very cordial to him.
I think PA said he did 70 some games at Hilton.

It sucks for Melvin that right after a fantastic career we had 2-3 of the best Cyclones of all time lace it up. He had a great senior year, but Georges had a great 4 years and Monte 3.
Don't know. He lives in Omaha so I could see today just being a one-off.Probably not asking the right person but are other schools honoring his service?
Hoiberg. The current rules are a bit much. JP is saying that if Haliburton leads us to a National Championship while having a career season and then going to the NBA that we'd not hang his Jersey. That's a dumb rule.
There is a very strong case that the 5 listed should be up there. When was the last time we put a player up there anyways.
Probably not a bad pr move considering he is somewhat local and one of the best known officials.Don't know. He lives in Omaha so I could see today just being a one-off.
They have to wait 10 years to be eligible for Hall of Fame. Ejim would be eligible this year to be inducted. What are they waiting for with Ejim Niang and Morris? Put them in the hall of fame already FFS.

When Bill Self saw what they were doing, he started laughing and seemed to give a “what the hell is this guy doing here” type of reaction (in a playful way). So my guess is, no.Probably not asking the right person but are other schools honoring his service?
