Let me preface this with stating that I have Summit's permission to post this. For those of you that don't know, Summit is Larry Hamilton, Justin's dad. The following are Larry's thoughts he expressed during the season. It pretty well sums up why Justin left, and what is wrong with Greg's leadership. In the passage, Larry also foretells the mass player exodus as well. If Ham's dad knew this was coming, why didn't Greg? Why didn't Jamie? Things are seriously wrong in our program right now, and they start and end with Greg.

I am sorry for teasing some of you with this a few weeks ago, but Larry wanted to wait until Justin had landed on his feet first at another school.

Sounds like a bunch of generalities in my opinion. What coach isn't a friend one day and screaming the next? Does he have any more specifics? Looks to me like the players really do not like or respect McDermott. I do not think they lay it all out for him like K-State players do for the apparent hated Frank Martin. Man do I wish Martin was our coach.

I appreciate all of the insiders who regularly post tidbits about the MBB program. But don't throw it in our faces like we owe them something. We do not. They have their own agendas when the make information public and when they decide to withhold information (which is typically the case).

ps. Snowcraig just gave us the most telling piece of information we've received all year, and he is not an "insider" anymore.

1st- Don't you think Jamie has already heard from Larry?

2nd- Not bagging Ham at all. Liked the kid. But all Larry says is that the coach was hard on him and not as hard on others. Ok. Typically that means that a coach thinks highly of you and wants you to improve. Coaches don't yell at players they no suck

3rd- There are problems in our program. HUGE problems. Problems I don't know if we can fix. This...doesn't sound like one of them.

This is the key problem with GMAC, he DOES not know how to relate to his players that is why he is losing them, I have connections of my own and have been told this pretty much from year one. GMAC cannot relate to his players, it is his way or the highway, he either thinks he does not need to relate to his players, or he does not know how, either way he has lost his team and put our program in the dumpster. What Summitt said is exactly what I have been told for many years.

I agree. This thing is snowballing out of control. I used to be in Pollard's camp but not anymore. There is no excuse for that contract that he extended to McDermott.
