Hamilton's dad on Greg

Bout time someone manned up and told the truth.

EXACTLY. You know, maybe ISU can stop writing all of these things off to "bad luck" and finally get to the bottom of things. Something is WRONG. And whether it is GMac or a new coach that fixes it, it needs fixed. Quit dancing around the topic and acting all snakebitten and fix the damn problem.

I'm calling ******** on Ham's dad giving you permission to post this. Bull ******* ****.

:biglaugh:

Either way, too late now. Not like we didn't know something is terribly wrong and will not get better until Pollard takes responsibility for the mess instead of covering his ***.

Completely inappropriate Snowcraig. This should have been kept between you and the few people that have seen it. Sounds like a violation of something...CW, CIMD??

This had already been seen by more than a few people...

I have the permission of the original author. No violation at all.

At this point, it's time to air out the dirty laundry.

I actually meant a violation of something else. Somewhere you couldn't handle yourself and lost your privileges. You are right, you have the right to say this, but doesn't mean it's right.

Unless either of you were there for the conversation between Snowcraig and Hamilton's dad detailing exactly what capacity that information was to be shared, it seems out of place for you to be commenting on how "inappropriate" or unintended to be shared the information is.

I was there for the original propagation of the info, and it WAS NOT intended to be aired in public. If it's true, why didn't Summit have the balls to post it in a public forum? Snowcraig, we had an agreement, which we violated multiple times. I hope you're happy spreading crap which is none of your business, in order to inflate your ego.

There is valid reason for the comment. There was no "conversation" between snowcraig and summit. At most, it was a PM or 2.
A PM or two is still a communication of some sort... between 2 parties.. PM stands for private message, correct?

Wow a coach gets on his players some days and not on others. WOW!!! I cannot believe it. And it certainly didn't improve Hamilton's play at all these past 2 years.:jimlad: I've got a really nice Gouda to go along with the original post.

Why are you freaking out? The rest of us have no idea what the hell you are so mad about.

As many of you know, I have been on the fence on this issue for some time. I still think that some have gone way over the top. However, this is the last straw for me. I will continue to support the ISU program, but the evidence, however circumstantial, is enough for me to say that there is something missing in the GMac package and that a change must be made.

This is hard for me to say because one of my principles is to support a coach and give him/her enough of an opportunity to be successful. I think one of the problems in sports is the itchy trigger finger; letting a coach go before they have had a fair chance to succeed. Unfortunately, I believe that such a chance is lost in this case.

To reiterate, as a Cyclone fan I will continue to support the program but I have lost confidence in this coach. I know others have chosen a different route, but this is the right way for me.

Wow, that was hard to write.

What he said...

Let me preface this with stating that I have Summit's permission to post this. For those of you that don't know, Summit is Larry Hamilton, Justin's dad. The following are Larry's thoughts he expressed during the season. It pretty well sums up why Justin left, and what is wrong with Greg's leadership. In the passage, Larry also foretells the mass player exodus as well. If Ham's dad knew this was coming, why didn't Greg? Why didn't Jamie? Things are seriously wrong in our program right now, and they start and end with Greg.

From Summit (Larry Hamilton)

I am sorry for teasing some of you with this a few weeks ago, but Larry wanted to wait until Justin had landed on his feet first at another school.

what am I missing here? He yells too much at my son and doesn't yell at Craig Brackins enough? He's too tough? I get that Justin wasn't responding to the coaching or didn't like it, but do you think Larry Eustachy or Tim Floyd were easy to get along with? Seems really like nothing new here, a parent feeling his kid isn't getting his due?

I understand player retention has been a problem, but really Ham and WJ were the only guys who left, not because of playing time. Nothing really shocking about this "accusation", IMO.

What good does it do to throw more dirt at ISU and the coaching staff after your son left?

For me personally, as someone who is not connected, or "in the know", this is the only public explanation we are getting to account for the mire of our program. Until now, all we had to go on was vague, contradictory press releases that are pretty much a 'white-wash' of the actual truth.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm shocked to learn about GM's extreme, inconsistent behavior; it kinda dispels the image of a 'good guy'...Till now, I just thought he was a nice guy, but mediocre coach.
