I don't know about you all but my taste buds as an adult have changed so much I really don't care for Hersheys style milk chocolate.
I really enjoy dove dark chocolate as a mass produced item. Trader Joe's has great in house dark chocolate bars.

Are you a coffee drinker? Dark chocolate scratches my coffee itch.

On my hiking trips i end every night with some dark chocolate and wake up with coffee.

You can find some ‘natural foods’ experts who say it’s the one candy that has more health benefits than negatives too.

Big time coffee drinker so you're probably right.

Not a traditional candy but if I’m really hungry or needing a sweet, I would love nothing more than to facefuck a bag of gummie worms.

Old person perspective:

Twix and KitKat are the same thing. It's chocolate over a waffer cookie. Cookies were available at home and could be made at home. Candy bars were only available at retail outlets and so were more desirable. Thus cookies coated with chocolate are second tier at best.

M&M Peanut, Butterfinger, Milky Way top pics.

Reeses is right up there but I like the regular ones. People who like the ones with a higher peanut butter ratio are wrong. Again, peanut butter was available at home, thus the chocolate portion is the more desirable ingredient. I put M&M Plain, Baby Ruth, Hershey bar in this tier as well. Nestle Crunch could sneak in here on a good day.

@cyclones500 - Your list was great until you listed 3 Musketeers. That was my top choice as a child mainly because it was the larger size candy bar by volume. I long ago demoted it since its extra volume is just air.

I've never been a fan of Snickers. Just something about the nut/nougat that doesn't appeal to me. I will eat if that's all that left but this is the most highly overrated candy bar in the world IMHO.

Fun topic!

Might lend itself offseason tournament bracket like we did for TV shows/movies . (Wouldn't have to be Halloween-specific - candy is candy!)

Among the main poll choices, I do like Reese's (has an apostrophe) ... Kit Kat is OK.

My "Other" choices (most of these mentioned by other respondents):
* M&M's
* SweetTarts
* Krackel/Nestle Crunch
* 3 f****g Musketeers
* Smarties

I'm "north of 50" and have not consumed Baby Ruth in my entire life, even by accident.

Reeces if you limit yourself to chocolates, but I've been known to steal those little boxes of dots from my kid' buckets. They are GOAT for me.

This is some old ppl perspective cuz in this day and age where everything is so accessible, you just do what tastes best. I largely agree though, I love KitKat but a homemade thin cookie is much better

Yeah, what seems special and a treat when you're little sticks with you your whole life. Sure, there are additions and subtractions, but generally I will swear that's true.

Any Swedish Fish fans?
For a gummy candy I always thought they were kinda bland, do not seem to have enough flavor.

Cinnamon bears are better in candy with similar texture. And other gummy bears, worms and etc. I like better.

Sour patch are good, not too sour, and good flavor too. But they are more of a recent candy, dont think they were a thing when I was young, I have only had them since having kids, that love them.

Where they belong.
I would have to say good and plenty are up there for me. My mom and sister love black licorice, I like black licorice flavor things like jelly beans, but straight black licorice not as much, but add that candy shell the good and plenty have moves them much higher in pref for me.

Dove chocolates, really of all types are the best chocolate for me.

Love their Dark choc, also the regular, caramel and the peppermint one at Xmas.

If I am going to have choc that has become my go to, just let them melt in my mouth.
