This guy is money

Dude has some range!!! I don't think we're going to have many down years with Fred. He just re-loads. Teams are going to be like, where do these guys keep coming from?! #TransferU baby!

Though I agree he is a stud, I wouldn't compare him to directly Monte. Combo guard and best pure shooing motion on the team. He'll definetly get minutes next year in a McGee 6th Man instant O role to start and if he can develop his body into Big 12 level, even more of a contributor. Really like his fit in Hoiball.

His feet when he shoots aren't pure by any means, but he shoots well so **** it.

I really like that Fred doesn't try to totally remake his players' strokes (maybe Edozie) despite being a great shooter himself.

If I remember correctly, I've heard interviews where he talks about trying to make the strokes more consistent, even if they are ugly. So basically, it's more important to keep the same stroke and not as important to completely redo the shooting stroke.

Totally agree. And with a shot like Matt Thomas, I'm not sure there's much left to do but to give the guy confidence and let him sling it.

Some of you may hate me for saying this, but if we make a deep run into the tourney (final four), I think Monte is gone. He will have plenty of hype, one of the top PGs, and still young. Possible lottery pick.

I just don't think he has the athleticism to be a lottery pick, or even a first round pick. Hype doesn't mean a thing because ESPN and CBS aren't drafting in the lottery.

I'd take a final four run and losing Monte. We are always rebuilding and reloading. Hope he would come back if that's the case, but wouldn't be upset.

I thought Tyler Ennis last year was not that good and was physically very similar to Monte (Ennis is 6'2", 180lbs). He still got drafted in the first round.

True, but neither does actual draft status. Many players leave early despite not having a great chance of being a first rounder.

His athleticism is the only reason I hear he can't be a high end pick but I think he would make out just fine. He is definitely quick enough to play in the league. Just ask Ryan Harrow.

Point taken. Very good point.

And Napier.

Cooke and Williams are big additions. We lack a little ball handling this year, and Cooke will give us that while at the same time add another shooter. IMO he is a true combo, a guy that can play pg one possession and SG the next. Hopefully Morris stays if he is not a sure 1st rounder, as he and Cooke would be a great backcourt. Add in Naz, and it could have a JT-Nurse-Horton dynamic when we wanted to go small. A guy like Burton would give us that matchup guy, and a beast as the inverted post, with forwards that can stretch like Georges, Nader, Williams, and maybe Tsalmpouris on the perimeter.

Oh, and add Thomas and McKay, plus two more scholarships to give (Diallo and a rs transfer?). Add Diallo to matchup with the forwards like at KU, UK, Zona, UT. Legit NC contender.

Monte needs 1 more year if we're talking NBA. If he goes after this year, he will be making a mistake. He's not even close to his ceiling, and he needs more Hoiball to develop his game. Would love to have him all 4 years, but I think he goes to the league after his 3rd year.

I agree with him not being an athletic freak, I sorta see him as a Rajon Rondo. They are slightly different, but similar. Rajon more defensive and Man Man more offensive.
