Hallice Cooke

I'm glad we get him for 3 years because next year he will have to beat out Naz and Thomas for playing time. If we get this Burton guy then add another dude to beat out onto the list.

Although limited number of clips available on him, he appears to be quick enough and with a good enough handle to back up Monte for short spells, along with Clayton of course. Lack of PG backup for Monte is the only major weakness I see in this year's team.

Quit de-railing this thread

I think he could start with Monte.

Morris
Cooke
Niang
Diallo
McKay

Naz off the bench.

Cooke is a stud. Monte part 2.

Though I agree he is a stud, I wouldn't compare him to directly Monte. Combo guard and best pure shooing motion on the team. He'll definetly get minutes next year in a McGee 6th Man instant O role to start and if he can develop his body into Big 12 level, even more of a contributor. Really like his fit in Hoiball.

Bold to put Cooke in the starting five in front of a senior Naz...

I see Cooke playing more of a Tyrus role next year coming off the bench and sharpshooting.

This guy is money

You must not have ever seen Matt Thomas play...

But, I agree that his shot is silky

We've got an eight-man rotation now

Niang/BDJ/Morris/Long/Hogue/McKay/Nader/Thomas

We lose two of those for next year (BDJ and Hogue)

We're already adding Cooke, which most anticipate will play

No way we're going past 7-8 men seeing significant playing time

We already have seven before adding anybody else for next year

Fred has four scholarships to hand out for next year

This could get nutty after a few Top 50 HS guys and whatever Fred wants from transfers

That Marquette guy might be better to take the whole year off, train up, and then come on strong after Niang and Long (sadly) graduate on us

I have seen both (Watched a few of Cooke's OSU games prior to him committing) and think Hallice is slightly better. That is my opinion, and not a knock on Matty Ice both are elite on the college level.

Next years team will be amazing.
