The ISU guards took some of the pressure of the bigs and actually scored from both positions. A nice win for ISU

Guards played well offensively, but they didn't help the posts out much, hence why they all fouled out or damn near did.

I thought out guards really struggled defensively tonight. On offense they were better (except Colvin) but I'm really hoping we find a perimeter defender for next year.

I have said this all season to my friends, when DG is on, we are hard to beat. If you want to point to one thing that defines this season it has been the lack of consistent play from the back court. DG is a few made layups away from being an all Big XII guard. Unfortunately he doesn't make a lot of them, and our season is what it is. I'm excited about the future with Colvin, Scotty and DG, with Buckley and the red shirts on the bench. Not to mention the recruits. As for the front court, we have Hamilton, (who is becoming a force!), Dendy, I am predicting both Gilstrap and Brackins will be here again.

This team obviously loves their coach and they know they can do big things.

I agree. We have seen some more aggressive offensive play by DG and SC over the last few games, and tonight they were rewarded. DG gets into trouble on offense when he is passive. He wasn't tonight. He was aggressive, and it was the difference in the game.
