Great Interview with Coach Campbell

Only part I didn't like about it was when he said he couldn't care less about the money and doesn't even know what he's being paid.

That's BS and everyone knows it. No one will fault you for getting a promotion and increase in pay. You don't need to make excuses for it.
 
I no longer judge coaches based on their demeanor, but this guy's demeanor reminds me of Urban Meyer

What excuse was made? He was just trying to be humble.

Speak softly and carry a big stick. Seems really chill. It's like the opposite of going from Hoiberg to a more animated Prohm, going from Rhoads to Campbell.

I'm sure he feels great about the the money, but the actual coaching is why he is in this profession and I'm sure he is ecstatic to be coaching big time college football. I really don't doubt the money is just icing on the cake to him.

Absolutely. He has a ballpark idea...but he doesn't actually know. It's part of what makes Campbell great, IMO.

I have no doubt about that. I didn't mean it as a bash, because I like the guy.
 
Really liking this hire. Seems to be a solid coach and person. I think the players will love him (although there will be the "step-dad" period I'm sure)

And that was before the SEZ project, so he should really like what he sees when he gets here. So far it's all good with CMC. I don't know whether it was JP or Leath who pulled the plug a week early on the current staff, but JP has done a great job getting a good coach very quickly.
