Your kids played their asses off yesterday.

I told my Baylor friends all week that I expect an upset at Jack Trice until proven otherwise.... this one didn't prove otherwise till 00:00 in the 4th.

Your program is moving in the right direction... stick with these guys... they deserve your support....

this group of Clones are going to win games for you.

Good luck the rest of the way.

This person does not represent the majority of ISU fans, I hope at least.

I too am excited about the future of ISU football. We've lost 70-7, or something like that, recently to Baylor. There was no shame in that game yesterday for ISU.

Gonna be a long time before I say something nice about Baylor. Cheer for a different team, I'll be nice.

Did all the Baylor fans know this stuff was going on and support it?

I just don't get ripping on some nice and cordial Baylor fan for coming over here and commending our program for what they see as an improving program?

Now, if it was Art Briles himself, yes I would rip into him.

I, too, hate Baylor. I wish their program got the death penalty. That being said...why rip on a really nice guy that came over here to congratulate us on a hard fought game? Do you think this guy (or gal) knew about what was happening? What, exactly, do you want these people to do?

I feel really bad for the Baylor fan base. I literally couldn't imagine something like that happening at Iowa State. I don't even know how I would possibly react. You can't just drop your team and root for someone else...that's not how true fandom works.

While I wish you guys no success on the field, thanks for coming over here and being a good guy. Ignore the ********. They do not represent the majority of our fan base.

I have a problem with the Baylor fans that think briles should still be the coach.

Thanks for the kind post. I was happy to see the improvement yesterday and we did a great job of putting ourselves in a position to win. The talent gap between a team like Baylor and ISU is still very large, which leaves little room for error.

Baylor has a good team put together. Linwood is the real deal and Russell is a good QB. I see Baylor putting together another 10+ win season.

Ignore the other posters here that have been bashing you. I despise what Briles and the program did and absolutely have zero respect for that, but none of that is on you as a fan. Something like this can happen anywhere, including Iowa State, and I wouldn't want to be treated the way you have by posters in this thread if that were the case. A little grace shown by these posters wouldn't be the worst thing to see but oh well.

Ignore doc, they live a sad meaningless life and the only way they can feel anything is to be mean to others.

Not sure this is true..... I am a bit aggravated on how lightly this program was hit, fire coaches and administration is part of the solution, but this cover-up went deeper, that the lack of change is very noticeable.... Zomora gets a 3 game suspension for video taping him beating his dog. The guy should be off the team and I guarantee a true, tight ship program like our own, would hand is walking papers.... Example is Philbert, altercation with coach and we have not seen him yet..... And I doubt we will till he owes up to what he is doing....

I wanted to ask a Baylor fan this week, how can you remain a fan for a program outwardly enough to show up to a road game with all that happen.... If that happened at Iowa State, I would have to step away for at least 5-10 years..... Call it giving up, but I would be ashamed to wear that colors with all that went down at Baylor....

I agree with your first part because Happy has been really nice. I would not have said what Doc did because Happy was being nice and has given us no reason to.

That being said, I don't feel sad for their fan base, and I actually despise a fairly large portion of their fan base due to their reaction to finding out about Briles. They were duped by Briles. But after finding out, they, like Penn State fans, were not upset at the coach for doing these things, but were upset at the media for bringing it up. That's what I have a problem with; they defend Briles at the expense of the victims and view this as some kind of media conspiracy. So what would I like them to do? Not defend Briles like they have been. Don't stop being fans, but don't trash the media and the victims.

But again, I wouldn't have responded that way to Happy because he was being nice and has given me no reason to believe he's one of the bad Baylor fans

Most Baylor fans I deal with are the same type as Happy, so my comment stands. I agree with you 100% about the other ones, though.

We had a guy hold a STOP sign during a relatively tame VEISHA "riot" and he got shown the door. That kid played for the Cowboys last year for cripes sake.

The things done at Baylor, a "religious" school, for the sake of a football program sicken me. I think even the local police were involved in sweeping things under the rug.

I know football in Texas is different, but there has to be a line. I'd rather have schools like SMU of old giving out money and cars than have schools coerce sexual assault victims into not pressing charges.

I can't blame the fans for things they had no control over, so I'm not going to bash Happy here. It was a good game, and Baylor likely will continue to have a solid year. I also don't think that the Baylor administration (nor the NCAA) handled/is handling the entire situation properly, but again, that's far outside the realm of the fans.

The next year or two is going to make or break that program, though. I have a feeling it's leaning towards 'break', but we'll see.

But how can any fan, just accept these things as out of my hands?? Even being an alum, I would recheck my alliances...!!!!!

OP is a douche. I'll never forget his rep message to me when the sexual assault scandal first broke.

Is there a way to find old rep messages on the new site?
