Grass Lots?

This whole thread brings up an interesting predicament... I was planning on having a "backyard" tailgate just to make the game more fun, and mimic what I normally setup... however, I normally setup in a parking lot, not grass... Now I have to consider moving to the driveway... Does anyone know if there are any allowances in the official Rules of Tailgating Etiquette that, under extreme circumstances, would would allow grass as a suitable replacement for pavement?

You’re more than welcome to tailgate like the thousands of us “poor” folks that use the grass lots at JTS. :campbell: Just don’t get your car stuck with all the rain this week.

Pretty sure the Athletic Department will put something out on it. Just drove by the Haunted Forest, it looks fine. The next round of rain will probably close them for sure. Looks like I will be watching the game at home on Saturday. Glad I haven't done much for tailgate prep yet. Still trying to get my new roof estimate finalized thanks to the derecho.

Thank you for some normalcy!

G7 is grass and people tailgate there. People also set up tents on the grass outside the A-D lots. Tent row is grass, so I'm not sure what your issue is.
