Grass Lots?

Pretty sure the Athletic Department will put something out on it. Just drove by the Haunted Forest, it looks fine. The next round of rain will probably close them for sure. Looks like I will be watching the game at home on Saturday. Glad I haven't done much for tailgate prep yet. Still trying to get my new roof estimate finalized thanks to the derecho.

We missed the south dakota game. Wasn't sure if the grass lots were tore up from the derecho and the recent rain.

I have seen some comments on social media this week about people saying it would be cool if we had fans setup outside of the stadium watching the game on TVs that maybe it would generate enough noise they could hear them inside the stadium. All I have to say is if someone is serious about trying to do that please don't. Pretty sure ISU will have some kind of security presence around JT this weekend to make sure people don't try to tailgate in lots and if we want any shot of the possibility of fans at any games this season we need to be smart and not try to do something stupid like that.

2nd this thought 1000%, I hope whoever runs the haunted forest remains closed also. I realize it is a private business but get thru this wkend successfully and hopefully fans can start being admitted. Long term view instead of short term gain is what I hope they do.

This whole thread brings up an interesting predicament... I was planning on having a "backyard" tailgate just to make the game more fun, and mimic what I normally setup... however, I normally setup in a parking lot, not grass... Now I have to consider moving to the driveway... Does anyone know if there are any allowances in the official Rules of Tailgating Etiquette that, under extreme circumstances, would would allow grass as a suitable replacement for pavement?
