I like how this kid looks. He looks like he has pretty good accuracy and is quick on his feet when he needs to be. I expect him to compete with Barnett and Richardson in 2013 for the starting job... This kid seems to have the "it" factor in my opinion. Excited!

He seems pretty comfortable throwing on the move in both directions. I like his pocket awareness also. Definitely excited for Grant to suit up!
 
He definately has the run for your life style that will serve him well at ISU. Could be a 3 year starter imo.
 
Just a bit of criticism: He won't be able to get away with some of that in the B12. He was easily able to outrun some of those DE's in that video. Won't be the case at this level. However he does have great escapability skills.

Maybe he'll grow up and get faster and stronger as well just like you are crediting the DE's being able to do.

Well, if our O line is doing their job, he shouldn't have to.
 
I have a good feeling about the QB spot with Grant coming in. Little to no doubt he's a 3 year starter, at minimum.
 
Not to be a downer but some of the same things were said about SR. He was going to be a 3-4 yrs starter.

Now who knows what happens this season. Maybe SR takes over instead for SJ or JB but the reality is that it takes time for a QB to learn and grow into the position. IF you have a true frosh or RSfrosh come in and start right away chances are you dont have squat on your current roster. Even the mighty Tebow didnt START right away and he was what some would argue to be the best college QB ever. He sat behind Chris Leak his Fr year so lets not annoint anyone just yet.

Agreed. Seems like he has a great arm and is extremely shifty. But he is not gonna be able to throw into traffic in the Big 12 like he does alot in that highlight tape. Excited for him to be on campus this fall!
 
Rohach got into that Elite 11 competition, so you have to think he's got the most potential of any of the QB's on the roster. That said, I'm not about to anoint him yet. If Barnett starts most or all of this year, I don't see him losing the spot until his eligibility runs out.

Richardson will beat him out Rohach may beat him out. I love JBs intangibles but there is a significant difference in talent between he and the two guys behind him. If he proves me wrong and starts for two years after this one, he will be a very good QB.
