Some tidbits in there that might not be so talked about:

The recent success of former Niles North and Iowa State star Abdel Nader with another clear selling point. Growing up on Chicago's North Side in the Uptown neighborhood, Horton-Tucker has formed a relationship with Nader and spoke to him during the recruiting process. With Nader now on the Boston Celtics after a successful run at Iowa State, Horton-Tucker had an easier time visualizing his own success there.

"I talked to him myself, I'm actually cool with him. Being with him a lot, it was nice. Being around him, learning," Horton-Tucker said of Nader. "He's in the NBA now so it helps me prepare myself to try and reach that goal to get to the NBA."

He’s got a little Nader to him, but imo he’s more of a guard than Nader. He’ll have the ball in his hands more, but that Nader-like wingspan will be huge.

Recruiting is so strange. To think that Nader, who we recruited high school and chose N Illinois, Then we took on a transfer. Ended up helping us.Believe it or not but Danyal Robinson's connections from back when we got Chris Colvin helped. Crazy stuff man.

Thank you for finding this and linking it. So much more enjoyable to read compared to the earlier linked article. Hope regardless of what all went down, he turns into a fan favorite at ISU.

What a great article. Yes, he seems like a great kid.

I’m biased, but he picked a “players” coach proven to improve guards and use mismatches. And mentor. He’s set up to be a pillar of the program, and a fan favorite.

I have looked around trying to find the back story of his father's passing. Are there any articles explaining what happened to his father?
 
If THT ends up being a 4 year Nader we will be very happy. Nader had as much raw talent as anybody I have seen play for ISU. With 4 years of CSP coaching, look out!
 
The Chicagoland trio is an impressive coup for head coach Steve Prohm on the recruiting trail as Iowa State has recruited the state better than any other program in the country this fall.
